Chapter 115

The discussion continues among the Phantom Troupe. Nobunaga questions why they did not pursue immediately. Machi warns that revealing what was read from memories will result in the hostage being killed. Pakunoda and Machi are confirmed injured. The group debates the strength of the two who took the boss, noting they are accompanied by pro hunters. A flashback panel shows the moment the lights went out. Phinks insists the chain user is the one who killed Uvo and is hard to defeat alone. The members argue about the value of the hostages and the meaning behind the message. Nobunaga laughs off the story while others stress the need to organize quickly.

In the aftermath of the hotel incident, a crowd gathers outside as concerned bystanders react. One man shouts, "WHAT HAPPENED IN THIS HOTEL?!" while another replies, "We're really sorry. We're currently doing all we can to..." Killua stands tall on the right side of the scene, arms crossed, and declares, "From this point on, we stay together." Nearby, a voice adds, "We'll pursue Danchou, and protect the wounded at the same time." Gon, Kurapika, and other allies stand together in the background. In a lower panel, someone questions, "Why was there a power outage?! And the police?!" If we can find the car that Danchou's in..." A character with slicked-back hair reacts with a sharp "tch" sound as another figure looks on. Suddenly, a phone rings with a dramatic "!!" effect and the caption "A CALL FROM DANCHOU'S CELLPHONE." The man answers the call with a close-up of his intense face, saying "HELLO?"

A heavyset man sits alone at a restaurant counter, eating from a pot of food with chopsticks. Kurapika responds on his end, "HURRY UP AND GIVE ME PAKUNODA." He warns, "I WON'T GIVE YOU ANOTHER CHANCE, I'M WARNING YOU." Nobunaga grabs Pakunoda by the collar, shouting furiously. "Idiot! Don't play around with Danchou's life! Are you crazy? That hurt!" Pakunoda replies calmly, "I didn't think he'd hang up..." Machi answers a ringing phone with "Hello? I'll kill you." From the other end, a voice says, "I didn't have bad intentions. Now isn't the time for that. I thought it was a chance to let off some steam. It's also your fault: if you hadn't been tricked..." Pakunoda, now holding the phone, commands, "Isolate yourself." Feitan, standing nearby with a small device, adds, "First, I want you to be the only one to hear what I have to tell you." In a wide shot of a modern building interior, Pakunoda speaks into the phone while an unseen voice responds, "Reading his memory, you learned who Senritsu is, correct?" Pakunoda answers, "Yes..." The voice continues, "You touched someone named Scuwala, correct?" Pakunoda replies, "Yes..."

The caller warns Pakunoda, "Talking, using a secret code, blinking, whatever. You've been warned." Pakunoda is told, "First, I forbid you to have any communication with your comrades. You know you won't be able to give us anything but the real thing. In that case, I'll get right to the point." The caller continues, "You'll come alone. And now a place to meet. If we detect the least suspicious movement, I kill your boss." Pakunoda answers, "Understood." Elsewhere, the topknotted man reacts with surprise, "What?" while another figure stands nearby. The caller specifies, "Not the one from before. Give me one of your comrades." In a nighttime city street, the caller states, "Give the cellphone to Pakunoda, and prepare another one. I will use it to contact you at an undetermined time. All ten of you stay in the same place, with the hostages. I will meet with Pakunoda, alone. You and the others stay at your lair." The topknotted man replies, "I'm listening."

Nobunaga stares ahead with a stern expression and states his condition. "OK." A voice on the phone repeats the instructions firmly. "THE MEETING PLACE : I REPEAT ONCE MORE, YOU COME ALONE." Pakunoda listens with a serious face. "HELLO?" A small figure with a topknot hands the receiver over. "PAKU." "GIVE ME PAKUNODA." The scene shifts to a wide view of the empty terminal at night. "RINGO AIRPORT." "THE PLACE IS..." Pakunoda stands in the foreground with an intense glare as motion lines and impact effects burst around her. "PAKU ?!" "LAST DELAY : 8 O'CLOCK."

Pakunoda walks away through the open doorway into the night. "HEY! WAIT!" Phinks and Nobunaga stand with other Troupe members watching her leave. "WHAT'S WRONG WITH YOU?" "ARE YOU ILL?" "WHAT'RE YOU SAYING?" Nobunaga grabs Phinks by the collar and warns him. "IF WE DISOBEY HIS ORDERS, AND FOLLOW PAKU, HE'LL KILL DANCHOU." "YOU STILL DON'T UNDERSTAND?" Nobunaga continues with a fierce expression. "IF HE DOES THAT, HE'S NEXT ON THE LIST." "ARE YOU REALLY DUMB?"

Pakunoda stands with her back partially turned, declaring that the Spider must come first. Nobunaga stares back with wide eyes as she adds that this is what the boss would say. In close-up, Pakunoda's intense gaze fills the frame while she insists the current thinking is an insult to the Spider. Nobunaga and Machi face each other; Nobunaga states that following Paku is now the absolute priority and that acting as he did earlier is out of the question. Shizuku stands in the center, warning that following the other man's instructions will make everything unfold exactly as predicted. She agrees there is no point in letting Pakunoda leave alone. Shizuku turns to ask what Shizuku thinks. Phinks and Machi both declare they share Nobunaga's opinion and should simply do what he says. In the background, someone notes that quarrels within the Ryodan are forbidden, yet Nobunaga's case clearly breaks the rules.

Shizuku stands with arms crossed, noting that Pakunoda would not have left without a word and that she must share the same view. Nobunaga's silhouette appears beside her as he states he does not want Danchou to die now and holds the same opinion as Nobunaga. Phinks, looking weary, says there is no way to discuss this further and that he is fed up. A tight close-up shows Nobunaga's intense glare as he declares Pakunoda is most important right now and that he wants to break everything but holds back. Phinks holds Danchou's phone and says, "I'LL GET IT." Pakunoda's small device rings with "fuuuut fuuuut" sounds. Gon, Killua, and Kurapika stand together as hostages while a silhouette watches. Nobunaga demands, "GIVE ME ONE OF THE HOSTAGES." Pakunoda confirms the kids are arguing about following her. She tells the caller, "THIS IS WHY PAKUNODA CAME QUIETLY WHEN I ASKED HER TO. WE HAVE AMONGST US SOMEONE ONE CAPABLE OF DETECTING LIES." The caller responds, "I'LL EXPLAIN SOMETHING TO YOU." Pakunoda warns, "YOU HAVE 30 MINUTES TO GET BACK TO YOUR HOTEL. IF YOU'D LIKE, YOU CAN TAKE IT OUT ON THE HOSTAGES. I DON'T CARE. YOUR BOSS WILL DIE. THAT'S ALL." Elsewhere, someone yells "DAMN!!!" while another voice concludes, "IT'S USELESS TO FOLLOW HER, THEN?!"

A massive distorted sound effect "ZAAAAAAAAAAT" rips across the top of the ruined interior as impact lines and debris fill the background. Speech bubbles read: "IF ALL OF US AREN'T GATHERED HERE DANCHOU DIES..." and "HE'S USING THE HOSTAGES AS INTERMEDIATES." Another bubble states "ALL THE SEVEN ARE RETURNING."
