The round-headed character stares at the destruction, thinking 'IN JUST 30 MINUTES IT'S BEEN TURNED INTO RUINS...!!' and 'THIS IS AWFUL.' The ground is torn up with debris flying. Killua stands on rocky ground, staring upward in shock at a brilliant burst of light high in the dark sky. A small figure is silhouetted against the glare. Nearby panels show a massive explosion of smoke and debris with the words 'THAT WAS CLOSE!' and a frantic 'IKALGO !?' as a skull-like shape flies past. In the wide central panel, Palm walks barefoot across the barren, cratered landscape, her long hair and dress flowing, while a small creature reacts with surprise. A close-up shows a wide-eyed face shouting 'PALM ...!!!' In the final panels, Palm and Gon walk side by side; Gon reaches out toward her with a determined expression while Palm keeps her arms at her sides.

In a rocky setting, Palm stands with arms crossed while Gon and Killua discuss her decision. Killua notes that Palm wants to stay and offers to drive her to Peijin as originally planned. Gon observes that in terms of basic offense she is probably stronger than him. Palm, shown in close-up with a serious expression, states she will wait because she wants to respect Gon's wishes to go to Gon right now. Killua and Gon react with surprise; Killua realizes that once Gon makes up his mind to fight Pitou on his own he will not budge, and that Gon will give the best performance ever if things go according to his plan.

Gon and Killua stand together as Killua admits, "Yeah, I know." He hesitates with "B, but..." while Gon finishes the thought: "Is to not get in his way." Killua adds, "In other words, the best thing we can do." In a close-up, Killua declares with determination, "I'll jump in without hesitation...!!! If he's in a real pinch." Gon reflects in smaller panels, "So that's what staying means...!" and "...I see," his face shifting to a fierce, wide-eyed glare. A large panel reveals a small, round, octopus-like creature with an angry expression shouting amid radiating lines, "AND EVEN IF WE ALL WORK TOGETHER, WE'LL BE NO MATCH FOR HIM...!!!" It continues, "EVEN IF GON USES ALL THE POWER HE CURRENTLY POSSESSES, HE WON'T BE ABLE TO BEAT PITOU...!!!" The creature concludes at the bottom, "MEANS DYING WITH HIM...!!!" as bold text emphasizes "SO STAYING."

The small octopus-like creature stares intensely while Gon looks on with a neutral expression. A girl with long dark hair asks, "ARE YOU COMING?" as Killua walks forward and answers, "WE'RE GOING TO LOOK FOR KNUCKLE." The creature adds, "OF COURSE!" Killua confirms, "LET'S GO." and "OK." In a wide landscape panel under a starry sky with rocky hills, the creature states, "WE WERE SUPPOSED TO SEPARATE THE GUARDS FROM THE KING AND LET THE BOSS FIGHT THE KING HIMSELF." At an old stone building, a woman and two men stand as one figure says, "NOW IT'S UP TO US TO DECIDE WHAT TO DO NEXT." Another notes, "KNOY-SAN IS RIGHT. WE'VE DONE WHAT WE CAME FOR." In the foreground, a character with a patterned head questions, "OR WILL WE CONTINUE?" while another voice asks, "IS THIS THE END?"

Close-up faces of the group show tense, determined expressions. A bald man with glasses begins, "I...". In profile, a stern man states, "WE'VE ALREADY LOST SO MANY LIVES HERE." A lone hand reaches down toward cracked, rocky ground. In the next panel, Gon kneels with his back to the viewer, facing a long-haired figure collapsed on the ground. Gon says, "IT'S OVER." Motion lines and impact marks surround the scene. A second body lies motionless nearby among broken branches and debris. The long-haired person remains still on the dirt.

Netero lies injured amid swirling black ink-like aura, a needle-like object piercing near his eye. His expression is strained as he questions the situation aloud. "HOW IS THAT POSSIBLE?" "TIME'S NOT UP YET." In the next panel his thoughts continue: "I MADE SURE HE COULDN'T SEE WHERE I WAS OPERATING..." "YET HE KNOWS THE OPERATION IS OVER?" Below, Meruem stands with his back to the viewer, distinctive spiky crown of hair visible. His thoughts press onward: "THEN HIS EARLIER BLOODLUST..." "IF HE SENSED ME RELAXING SLIGHTLY WHEN IT WAS OVER..."

Gon stands with his back mostly to the viewer, fists clenched at his sides, surrounded by explosive black aura fragments and motion lines. A large speech bubble commands: "STAND UP." The lower panel shows a close-up of a fallen figure's face pressed against the ground, hair and ear visible amid heavy shading and debris.

A massive digital timer reading 0:49:57:81 hangs in the stormy sky above swirling black clouds. Below it, Neferpitou floats in midair, body angled downward with a long tail curling behind, one hand extended and eyes focused intently on something below. A tiny white silhouette hovers nearby. In the lower panels, a close-up shows Gon’s face turned upward with a serious expression, followed by a close-up of Pitou’s face with wide eyes and an open mouth, reacting sharply to an unseen event.

Gon stands with Killua in the background and says “IT’LL BE FASTER IF WE RUN.” Pitou, now standing on the ground in a black coat, replies “LET’S LEAVE FOR PEIJIN NOW.” In a lower panel Pitou’s face shows shock with wide eyes as someone off-panel exclaims “OOH …”. A long-haired girl lies unconscious or injured in the foreground while Pitou asks “WHAT HAPPENED …?”. Gon stands at a distance and says “I…”. Pitou continues “I’D LIKE TO TAKE HER WITH US IF WE CAN…”. From below, Gon calls out “PITOU.”

Gon fills the frame, his face split between light and deep shadow, eyes narrowed and mouth set in a hard line. He thrusts his finger straight ahead and declares, "I'LL KILL HER." The second balloon continues, "IF YOU CAUSE ANY MORE TROUBLE." In the panels below, Pitou stares upward with wide, fearful eyes and a trembling mouth, sweat flying as she stammers, "I DON'T REALLY KNOW WHAT'S GOING ON..." and "S, SORRY... AM I... IN THE WAY?" Killua stands beside her, watching silently. At the bottom of the page, two pairs of feet stride across cracked stone; a voice says "LET'S GO." Another answers, "ALL RIGHT..."

Pouf’s silhouette hovers in darkness while narration notes that seeing Gon’s fearsome intuition and Pitou’s instincts has frozen him in place. He thinks he cannot move, yet at this distance he could slit Gon’s throat with one hand. Pitou’s inner voice cries, "MY CHANCE WILL COME...!!" In the next scene Pitou sits on the ground between two massive pillars, thinking she must get Komugi to the King while Pouf’s voice insists there will be plenty of chances on the way to Peijin. The final wide panel shows the ruined hall: Gon, Killua, Pitou, and Pouf stand facing one another amid rubble and broken doors; an exclamation mark appears above an open doorway.

Knuckle stands tall in the night, his muscular frame tense as he speaks with determination. "AND IF HE ATTACKS, MY POTCLEAN WILL ACT AS A SHIELD. THAT WAY IF HE MANAGES TO ESCAPE, WE'LL BE ABLE TO LOCATE HIM." Nearby, a girl with curly hair and cat-like ears reacts with surprise, question marks floating around her as she wonders, "SHOULD I USE HAKOWARE ON HIM?" Below, Killua glances upward, his expression serious. In a close panel, Gon looks resolute and replies, "I TRUST PITOU." Knuckle acknowledges with a nod, "THANKS, KNUCKLE." Gon adds softly, "BUT IT'S OK." The scene shifts between their determined faces and the dark surroundings, tension hanging in the air as they prepare for what comes next.

WHO ARE THESE PEOPLE... !?" and "I DON'T HAVE A CLUE WHAT'S GOING ON..."
