Chapter 239

Gon leans forward with a startled expression, blood still visible on his face. He extends his right arm and grabs a long, slender fish-like creature by the tail. The creature's head is near his left hand. Large impact sound effects "ドドド..." and motion lines fill the panel. A small inset shows a shocked face exclaiming "WHA..." as the fish creature opens its mouth near Gon's fingers.

The spiky-haired boy reels in shock as an unseen force strikes. "IT'S IMPOSSIBLE!" "WHAT THE HELL'S GOING ON?" "WHAT IS THIS!?" "A FISH!?" he cries out. A massive impact erupts around him with the sound "ドドド" and "ズバアアア" as the creature pierces his side. "I COULDN'T SENSE ITS PRESENCE... BUT THIS IS LAND!?" he thinks desperately. The fish-like creature drives its sharp body deep into his torso, blood spraying as he gasps "uagh...!!" and staggers under the blow, motion lines and impact effects filling the panel.

The spiky-haired boy continues to be struck, his body jolting with the sound "ゴゴゴゴ". In the background a second figure slumps among rocks, muttering "Guuh...". A close-up shows the boy's face twisted in pain and surprise, eyes wide with the exclamation "!!?". He clutches at the embedded fish while thinking "I COULDN'T EVEN DETECT IT WITH MY AURA! AGAIN! IT'S COMPLETELY INVISIBLE UNTIL THE MOMENT IT PIERCES ME." The striped shirt is torn and the creature remains lodged in his body.

The spiky-haired boy stares in shock at a shattered target marked with radiating lines. "A TARGET!?" he exclaims as another voice wonders "WHAT THE HELL IS THIS?" His eyes widen in alarm. "......" he mutters. In a rocky cavern, he braces himself and declares "I CAN'T... SENSE THE PRESENCE OF THE ATTACK AT ALL!!" while another panel shows him leaping back, thinking "...THIS IS DANGEROUS...!!" A large circular panel displays the number 108 with "PO~NTS" and "KU KU KU" sound effects. The boy stands alone in the cavern as a deep voice announces "BY THE WAY, I AM SPEAKING DIRECTLY INTO YOUR HEAD RIGHT NOW." and asks "DO YOU HAVE ANY CLUE AS TO WHAT IS BEING DONE TO YOU?"

A hand holds a small fish-shaped dart with a pointed snout and tail fins, accompanied by a tiny "pi" sound. A speech bubble states "WELL... IF YOU'RE STILL ALIVE, YOU'LL KNOW SOON ENOUGH..." The spiky-haired boy reacts violently with motion lines and "ジリリリ" SFX, while a bald man with scale-patterned arms holds the dart and produces a "pi" sound. The tall fish-scaled man stands with one arm extended, his scaled hand gripping a long weapon. He smirks and says he is feeling it. Rapid panels show the weapon thrusting forward with heavy motion lines. Below, Gon remains on his knees, still impaled by the spears, his body trembling. Speech bubbles discuss the nature of the attack: it is a colorful target that appears only momentarily when the fish ends its movement, and there can only be three attacks at one time. Gon looks up with a determined glare as the fish-scaled man continues to speak. A black panel emphasizes the answer that there is only one attack.

Below, Killua stares in wide-eyed shock, sweat flying from his face as his hair spikes wildly. Beside him, the spiky-haired fighter braces amid swirling dust and motion lines. The scene shifts to a large dartboard display reading 270. Speech bubbles appear on either side: one asks in disbelief if the attack is darts, while the other comments on the opponent's ability.

The fighter collapses to his knees, weapons clattering, as large bubbles declare: "KUKUKU, 99 POINT~~~!!" and "HEY HEY, WHAT HAPPENED? I CAN'T HEAR YOU SCREAM." A final bubble taunts: "DID YOU DIE ALREADY? BUT THE GAME'S JUST BEGUN." The fighter's face fills the bottom panel, eyes wide with shock and sweat flying as he clutches his chest.

The white-haired fighter stands with two massive blades driven into his back, blood soaking his torn shirt and shorts. Large circular captions highlight the damage: "THE RIGHT ELBOW IS 97 POINTS!!" and "THE BACK OF THE RIGHT HAND, 18 POINTS!!". He laughs with a taunting "KUKUKU, 99 POINT~~~~S!!". An unseen opponent mocks him with "HEY HEY, WHAT HAPPENED? I CAN'T HEAR YOU SCREAM." and "DID YOU DIE ALREADY? BUT THE GAME'S JUST BEGUN." In the bottom panel a bloodied face stares forward with wide eyes, sweat and blood streaking his skin while his gloved hand hovers near his mouth.

A fish-like projectile flies through the air with speed lines and the text "6 TRIPLE.". Below, a dartboard shows multiple arrows clustered with numbers 13, 4, and 6 highlighted. A smiling character with pointed ears claps and says "BRAVO." with hearts. In the lower scene a scaly humanoid stands in a bar interior saying "LIVES DEPEND ON IT." and "OF COURSE." while another character at the counter replies "THAT'S EXCELLENT NII-SAN. YOU'RE ON A ROLL."

The older brother of the Oros siblings thrusts three darts forward with a wide grin, declaring their power. The ability of the Oros siblings is triggered when the badge made out of Nen is attached to the body of the target. At this point, the target's body is linked to the dart body made out of Nen by the older brother, and until the game ends, the badge cannot be removed even by the siblings themselves. When the older brother's darts hit the target, the enemy receives the darts attack. There is no way to avoid the attack because until the dart hits the target's body, it does not exist at all. Thus, it is impossible to sense it or dodge it. This is our invincible power!! When it triggers, it's invincible!! However... Of course, they are taking a comparable risk!! The younger sister watches from below with a serious expression.

A massive impact erupts with radiating lines and a central dart striking a circular target. If the older brother misses the last shot to end the game, they will burst out and all the damage accumulated on the target until then will be completely transferred over to the two siblings. The younger sister and older brother stand close together. The sister explains they are bound together by the world's strongest trust. The brother smiles and says they are invincible. In the lower panels the spiky-haired fighter is shown bloodied and thrown back by the force, dust and debris flying. He grits his teeth and declares it is not yet time, waiting for the moment to overcome the attack.
