Hisoka, now facing forward with a star marking on his cheek, continues the lecture: "ANOTHER THING... A LITTLE EXPLANATION. IF YOU HAD USED GYO, IN CASE D, YOU WOULD HAVE SEEN MY AURA, AND YOU COULD HAVE AVOIDED IT." Gon stares up in shock. Hisoka's fist clenches as he mutters, "DAMN... IF ONLY I HAD USED GYO SINCE THE BEGINNING..." and questions, "BUT WHAT ABOUT A, B, AND C?"

In a separate panel Hisoka demonstrates, "I CAN FIX MY PANSY GUM DIRECTLY, EVEN WHILE FIGHTING. YOU SEE WHAT I MEAN?" I'M SATISFIED WITH MY ARBITRATION." In the stands, Leorio leans toward Kurapika and remarks, "AND I WAS SURE HISOKA WOULD WIN BY 1-0." Kurapika replies, "HOW DO YOU BET WITH THAT?" Nearby, a spectator asks, "YOU MEAN...?" as another explains, "A JUDGE THAT PREFERS TECHNICAL PARTS, THEN." The same spectator adds, "THE JUDGES, WHEN THEY THINK THE MATCH HAS A HIGH-RISK, THEY EASILY GIVE POINTS." Killua stands with his back to the group and simply answers, "YES." Gon turns to him with a bright smile and suggests, "HOW ABOUT IF WE GO TO YOUR PLACE? AS WE DON'T HAVE ANYTHING LEFT TO DO HERE..." At the waterfront, Gon, Killua, and a small creature sit together. Gon says, "THAT'S TRUE, IT'S BEEN OVER 6 MONTHS SINCE I LEFT HOME." Killua agrees, "YEAH. I WOULD LIKE TO MEET MITO-SAN." Someone asks, "SERIOUSLY?" and Gon replies, "OK."

The page opens with a large bold title reading 'THAT'S NOT CHINESE!' above a black speech-bubble shape labeled '(next)'. Below it, explanatory text states that once more, as in Hunter X Hunter volume 6, Yoshihiro Togashi uses advantages of his language, Japanese, to develop the imaginary universe of his tale. It notes that readers previously learned about Ren, Ten, Hatsu, Nen, and Zetsu, and today will discover the Gyo and the In in their natural writing. Dialogues may appear less artificial this way. The explanation must be read in the following way: natural writing of the ideogram, pronunciation transcribed in hiragana, one of the two Japanese alphabets, pronunciation transcribed in romaji, and meaning of the ideogram. A bordered table presents two ideograms. The first shows the character 隠 with hiragana (いん) and the romaji 'In' paired with the English 'HIDE'. The second shows the character 凝 with hiragana (ぎょう) and the romaji 'Gyô' paired with the English 'TO BE FASCINATED BY, TO DIP SHARPLY IN.'. A footnote at the bottom warns: '* PAY ATTENTION! ONE IDEOGRAM CAN HAVE SEVERAL PRONUNCIATIONS. WE CHOSE ONLY ONE, WHICH ISN'T EXHAUSTIVE.'
