In a dimly lit room with wooden walls, a long-haired woman questions a captive in a torn white shirt who stands bound and disheveled. "AND WHO ARE YOU?" she demands. The captive replies, "WHAT'RE YOU TALKING ABOUT?" She presses further: "WHERE IS HE?" and notes, "ONE OF YOUR COMRADES USES A CHAIN, CORRECT?" The captive, identified as a member of the Nostrade clan, begins to answer but is interrupted by a sharp "CRAC" sound effect as a fist strikes him violently. A stern man with a topknot glares and shouts, "JUST ANSWER WHAT YOU'RE ASKED! IDIOT!" while another figure warns, "I TOLD YOU NOT TO MOVE, DIDN'T I?" The long-haired woman calmly states, "ANSWER. NEXT TIME I'LL BREAK YOUR LEFT ARM." The captive screams in pain, "AAH!!!" Later panels show the topknotted man sweating heavily, exclaiming "HE ESCAPED." and asking "WHAT HAPPENED TO UVOGIN?" The woman responds with a neutral expression, "THE LARGE GUY YOU CAPTURED? AFTER THAT, I HAVE NO IDEA!"

The long-haired woman insists, "IT'S THE TRUTH!! DO YOU REALLY THINK I'D BOTHER TO LIE ABOUT THAT?!" while the topknotted man glares beside her. She continues, "IT ISN'T NICE TO LIE." In a separate panel showing a rainy street scene with several figures walking away, she adds, "THEY'RE AT HEADQUARTERS." and asks, "WHERE ARE YOUR OTHER COMRADES?" The captive's face appears as he states, "I WAS ON MY WAY TO MEET UP WITH THEM." The topknotted man yells desperately, "NONE OF MY COMRADES USE A CHAIN!!" and "I'M TELLING YOU I DON'T KNOW!" The woman narrows her eyes and asks, "WHERE IS THE ONE WHO USES A CHAIN?" and later, "IS THERE SOMEONE WHO WOULD MISS YOU?" She concludes with, "LAST QUESTION." In a close-up, the topknotted man mutters, "SHE'S SWEET." while the woman says, "ELISA... SO THAT'S HER..." Final panels show extreme close-ups of two pairs of eyes with sweat drops, conveying intense emotion.

A furious close-up shows a man's face twisted in rage, sweat flying as he screams a threat. "IF YOU TOUCH ONE HAIR ON HER HEAD, I'LL..." Vertical lettering beside him reads "BASTARDS!!!" Below, the scene widens: a short-haired woman in a black dress stands with her hand pressed to the back of a man's head. The man's head erupts in a violent spray of blood and tissue; his severed head tumbles through the air with wide eyes. To the right, Nobunaga kneels on the wooden floorboards, sword drawn and robes billowing, glaring with lethal intent. A small girl in a light dress watches from the far left. Rain pours over a wrecked station wagon embedded in a wall. Onlookers shout in panic: "HE CUT HIS HEAD OFF!", "AH! HE DECAPITATED HIM!", and "CALL THE POLICE! HURRY!" Nobunaga stands with his sword while Pakunoda faces him. Someone asks, "DID YOU GET INFORMATION ON THE CHAIN GUY?" She answers, "OBVIOUSLY." In a tighter panel Nobunaga asks, "INJECT...?" Pakunoda replies, "I'LL INJECT HIS MEMORY INTO YOU. WE'LL LOSE MORE TIME IF I EXPLAIN, SO..." The word "Zzzdon" appears as she readies her revolver. Close-ups follow: her hand loads three dark-tipped bullets labeled "MEMORY BULLETS!!" while she declares, "WITH THIS..." Nobunaga watches silently from the side as dramatic speed lines and SFX emphasize the moment.

Massive explosions erupt with thunderous BOM BOM impacts, shaking the surroundings. A robed man with a topknot gestures urgently and shouts, "ARE YOU KIDDING? JUST DO IT! HURRY! WE'RE NOT OLD FRIENDS, BUT..." Pakunoda stands poised with her pistol raised, replying, "I'M GOING TO SHOOT, BUT... IF THAT BOTHERS YOU, I'LL STOP." Uvogin's face fills with shock, eyes wide and sweat flying. Inside a car, two passengers react in alarm: "ARE THEY CRAZY ?!!" and "AH! THIS TIME, THE PARTNER IS THE ONE WHO SHOT THEM!" Outside in the rain, Kurapika stands in his flowing robe while Pakunoda aims at the robed man. Close-ups capture intense stares as someone declares, "SO THIS IS WHAT YOU LOOK LIKE... KURAPIKA ..." and another voice mutters, "WHAT...EVER."

Uvogin's face twists in fury as he growls, "I WON'T FORGET YOUR NAME NOR FACE! UNTIL I HAVE KILLED YOU..." Nearby figures react with confusion: "WHAT'S GOING ON?!" and note, "I'D BUT HE CUT OFF HIS HEAD... THEY TOOK A BULLET... AND... THEY'RE STILL ALIVE!" Uvogin stands tall in the rain, his robe flowing, while Pakunoda walks beside him. He recalls, "THAT GUY WAS CALLED SCUIVALA. HE KNEW NOTHING ABOUT UVO, BUT... NOW, WE KNOW THE NAME AND FACE OF THE CHAIN GUY. HIS NEN TYPE IS STILL UNKNOWN." A small figure in white runs in the background as dramatic speed lines emphasize Uvogin's movement.

A Phantom Troupe member stands inside a building and declares, "HE HAS ONLY 3 TEAM-MATES REMAINING." and "THEY KNOW WHO OUR ENEMY IS." He continues, "OKAY. WE'LL BE WAITING FOR YOU AT THE HOTEL," and concludes with "LET'S GO." Outside on a rainy street, Gon and Killua stand close together, both looking tense and worried. In the hotel hallway, Gon thinks intensely, "IN THE HOTEL'S HALLWAY, IT'S FEASIBLE. KURAPIKA SHOULD BE ABLE TO DO IT!! BUT... I EXPLAINED MY PLAN TO KURAPIKA..." Killua responds, "IF WE CAN'T LET HIM KNOW SOON, HE WON'T HAVE ENOUGH TIME. PLUS, KURAPIKA DOESN'T KNOW WHERE WE'RE HEADED." A large burst panel emphasizes, "THE PROBLEM IS 'WHEN'....!!" Gon and Killua continue their hushed conversation, with Gon saying, "..." and Killua adding, "THERE MUST BE A WAY..."

Killua continues thinking aloud, "A WAY TO DISTRACT THEIR ATTENTION. IN THE HOTEL... UNDER THOSE CONDITIONS, THERE MUST BE A WAY....! AND HE SHOULD HAVE EXPLAINED TO KURAPIKA WHERE WE'RE HEADED. SENRITSU MUST HAVE HEARD THE TELEPHONE CONVERSATION..." He adds, "THE PROBLEM IS KNOWING 'WHEN.' WITHOUT BEING ABLE TO WORK TOGETHER, IT'S IMPOSSIBLE. THEY MUST BE ABLE TO ARRIVE BEFORE US, AND SET EVERYTHING UP." In close-up, Killua thinks, "WE NEED A STARTING POINT THAT WE'RE ALL AWARE OF...! I WON'T LAST MORE THAN A FRACTION OF A SECOND. HESITATING EVEN A TENTH OF A SECOND AND WE'RE FINISHED..." A scene shows a foot stepping on a wet surface with the line, "WE CAN'T FORGET HOW BIG A MESS WE'RE CURRENTLY IN. WE WON'T HAVE A SECOND CHANCE....!! AT ALL COSTS, WE MUST TELL THEM TO PREPARE 'THE PLAN,' AND MANAGE TO DECIDE WHEN TO ACT..." The final spread panel declares, "WE MUST BE ABLE TO COMMUNICATE, OR ELSE ....!!"

Night falls over a tall city building as cars pass below. Inside the brightly lit hotel lobby, a smiling man in a suit sits at the front desk chatting with a woman whose back is to the viewer. Pakunoda stands nearby in her long black coat with fur collar and cross emblem, hands in pockets, gazing forward. A speech bubble from her reads 'LET'S WAIT HERE.' In the background, other guests and staff move through the spacious lobby filled with potted plants. A small inset panel shows someone reading a newspaper.

Outside near a stone wall, Feitan warns that anyone approaching becomes part of the defense field while Phinks mutters about no openings. The group can only hope their allies arrived first. Gon shouts for Senritsu to give a sign if she can hear him. Killua stands beside him, also calling out. Close-ups show both boys desperately trying to reach their ally. Gon insists there must be a way. Killua sweats, realizing it is the only option left. Senritsu's name echoes repeatedly through their calls.

A stern figure with a cross-shaped mark on their forehead stares forward in a dark panel. Below, a newspaper labeled 'YORKNEW' is flipped open with a loud FLAP. In a hotel lounge, Leorio sits at a table with a radio, phone pressed to his ear, shouting furiously. Gon and Killua stand nearby, watching with wide eyes. Leorio yells, 'IDIOT! IT'S TAKURU BEACH HOTEL! NOT "BAY ROCK"!' and 'HOW COULD YOU HAVE MADE THAT MISTAKE, YOU IDIOT?!' Someone off-panel calls out 'LEORIO!' Leorio leans forward, glaring, and snaps, 'LOOKING FOR A FIGHT? WHAT'S WITH THEM, LOOKING AT ME LIKE THAT?' In the final panels he turns sharply, asking 'HA?' as a group of people including Gon, Killua, and others gather near a brick wall in the background.

Leorio continues arguing on the phone, face twisted in anger, while Gon and Killua watch. He snaps, 'WHAT'RE YOU LOOKIN AT?! THINK I'M SOME SORT OF ANIMAL ON DISPLAY?!' and 'BECAUSE OF YOUR STUPIDITY, YOU DON'T KNOW WHAT I'M GOING THROUGH! EVERYTHING'S GONE WRONG TODAY!' The cross-marked figure stands silently with Gon and Killua nearby; someone suggests 'SHOULD I TAKE CARE OF HIM?' and another says 'IGNORE HIM. CALM DOWN.' Leorio threatens, 'BUT YOU KNOW WHAT'LL HAPPEN IF THIS HAPPENS AGAIN, RIGHT?' and later barks, 'IF YOU'RE ONE SECOND LATE, YOU'RE FIRED!! I WANT YOU HERE AT 7:00 SHARP, IN THE HOTEL!' A loud DOM DOM sound effect plays as Leorio checks his watch. Kurapika's voice declares, 'THAT'S THE SIGNAL!! KURAPIKA UNDERSTANDS!!'

Killua, hands bound behind his back, calculates his next move. "I'LL HAVE ABOUT 7/10ths OF A SECOND TO ATTACK," he thinks, followed by "IF I CAN RELAX MY JOINTS, I CAN REMOVE THIS TIE IN NO TIME AT ALL." A close-up shows his focused expression as he adds, "PLUS, IF LIGHTS SUDDENLY GO OUT, THEIR EYES WILL NEED SEVERAL SECONDS TO FOCUS IN THE DARKNESS!!" and "I HAVE SOME LEEWAY...!!" A radio plays nearby, with an announcer declaring "CHON CHON REQUESTED 'MOON CHILD.' LET'S HEAR IT!" and "TWO HOURS OF NON-STOP MUSIC IS ABOUT TO COME TO AN END, HERE'S THE LAST SONG :" The scene shifts to a spacious lobby where a large armored horse-like creature rampages, smashing furniture and sending debris flying near a reception desk. A clock face dominates the bottom panel with bold text reading "5 MINUTES ...!!" and "ONLY..."
