OFF TO MASADORA ! ①

Night falls over the forest as Gon, Killua, and Biscuit press onward. Gon asks, 'If it gets too dangerous, she can run away!' Killua retorts, 'What do you mean? She's a Nen user too!' They sprint through the trees with urgency. In a wide forest vista, Biscuit runs ahead carrying a 'MASADORA' signpost. Gon and Killua follow closely behind. A close-up shows Gon's focused eyes. Killua notes, 'We've been running at a pretty good pace...' Gon adds, 'HMM...' Biscuit remarks, 'She's following us better than I imagined she would...' Gon concludes, 'For kids, anyway. Their physical strength is quite good.'

In a dense forest, a lone figure in a hooded cloak walks among tall trees. Gon and Killua stare forward with wide eyes, their faces tense. A wide view reveals many small figures scattered across the rocky clearing. Gon, hair spiky and eyes narrowed, turns to Killua and declares, "LET'S DO IT!" The scene shifts to a dark, dramatic clash where numerous masked fighters in rabbit-eared outfits leap and charge with weapons drawn. An explosion erupts at the center as Gon and Killua react from the side, their hair and clothing whipping from the force.

A massive explosion rocks the area as Gon and Killua leap backward. Large speech bubbles cry "PLEASE!!" and "HELP US!" amid flying debris and smoke. Small panels show Gon and Killua's surprised faces followed by close-ups of damaged cylindrical objects. The scene changes to a quiet night outside wooden huts. Inside one hut, several people including Gon, Killua, and masked figures sit around a sick person lying in bed with a feverish expression. Narration explains: "IT GRADUALLY CHANGES FROM A LOW FEVER INTO A HIGHER ONE. AND IN THE END IT'S FATAL." "IT'S A LOCAL DISEASE OF THE ISLAND." "IT TAKES ABOUT A MONTH."

The masked bandit leader explains their dire situation to the group. All their members are already suffering from the illness and sadly they can no longer do bandit activities. The medicine is really expensive and they have no money on hand, but its effect lasts only a week. To stop the fever they must keep taking it, otherwise the fever immediately rises. Gon and Killua observe that the illness seems programmed this way and note it is a contagious disease. The bandit leader begs them to generously donate some money, warning that without it the sick kid will probably die within two to three days. Biscuit remarks that the girl is still here and wonders if the bandits knew their funds were low. Gon suggests that if they give some money the bandits might give information or an item of interest in return. The group calculates they still need eighty thousand jenny. The blonde girl offers to provide the money if they need eighty thousand jenny.

The villagers react with shock and gratitude as the donation is accepted. The bandit leader thanks the kind travelers and promises to give eighty thousand jenny. A mother holds her feverish son and cries that the child has been saved. The boy lies in bed complaining of cold while the fever gets worse at night. Gon and Killua watch from outside the window. The bandit leader asks if they are real angels when offered children's-sized clothes. Killua offers his own clothes if needed. The next morning the group stands together as the villagers express overwhelming thanks, saying they cannot find words to express their feelings.

A massive starburst erupts across the night sky: "WE DIDN'T GET ANYTHING!" Below, Gon and Killua trudge along a rocky mountain path under the stars. Gon complains, "DAMN... THAT SUCKED!" while Killua adds, "THEY REALLY GOT US BAD." A smaller panel shows the pair from behind as they continue downward. "BAH, WHEN WE'RE AT THE BOTTOM OF THE MOUNTAIN, WE'LL DEFINITELY MEET MONSTERS!" Gon declares. "WE LOST EVERYTHING IN AN INSTANT," Killua notes. In the next panel a pointing finger emphasizes, "AT LAST, WE'LL BEGIN THE REAL BATTLES!" Gon explains the plan: "WE BEAT THEM, CHANGE THEM INTO CARDS, AND THEN TRADE THEM FOR MONEY IN AN EXCHANGE STORE." Close-ups follow: Gon smiles confidently, "I'LL SHOW YOU THE RESULTS OF MY TRAINING," and Killua replies, "SAME HERE. I'LL SHOW YOU WHAT I LEARNED." The page ends with a wide splash of the two boys standing on a cliff edge overlooking a vast rocky expanse. Large SFX rumble across the scene. "WE LEFT THE MOUNTAIN," states a narration box. Killua looks ahead and murmurs, "OH..."

A sweeping view reveals a vast canyon of towering, layered rock formations under the night sky. Gon and Killua stand on a ledge overlooking the desolate expanse dotted with boulders. In the distance a tiny figure is visible among the rocks. The boys begin walking down a narrow path into the canyon. Killua warns, "WE'LL HAVE TO WATCH OUT FOR SURPRISE ATTACKS BY OTHER PLAYERS." Gon adds, "SAME THING STILL GOES FOR THE MONSTERS, BUT..." Killua observes, "NOTHING BUT ROCKS..." The final panel shows the two boys in dynamic close-up, fists raised high with motion lines streaking behind them. Gon shouts, "YEAH!" Killua cheers, "LET'S GO!"

In a rocky cavern under a starry sky, a swarm of grotesque monsters surges forward. One hulking beast with spotted skin lunges from above while others crawl and reach with clawed hands. A small figure wearing a backpack marked with a maple leaf is yanked violently through the air, limbs flailing. Below, Gon and Killua stand frozen in shock as the chaos erupts around them. A massive impact shakes the ground, sending debris flying. Someone screams in terror as the monsters close in.

The monsters swarm aggressively around Gon and Killua. A massive spotted creature looms overhead while smaller ones lunge from the sides. Gon and Killua dodge and react with wide eyes. In a series of panels, Gon shouts in surprise at the sudden numbers while Killua questions their strength. The fight intensifies with motion lines and impact effects as the boys are forced to evade multiple attackers at once.

A massive muscular figure looms as Gon clings near its head amid heavy motion lines and impact effects. Gon’s face twists in shock in a close-up panel while an eye stares intensely beside the sound “GRO”. The giant swings violently, sending Gon flying backward with a loud “WAH!” and starburst impact effects. In the lower panels the bald giant speaks while grappling with a smaller fighter: “WE HAVE TO NEUTRALIZE THEM ONE AFTER ANOTHER…”. Gon shouts “GON!! AIM FOR THEIR EYES!” as he charges. Killua’s thoughts appear in jagged bubbles: “GON’S PUNCH DID NOTHING!! EVEN IF HE’S HIT MULTIPLE TIMES, HE WON’T BE INJURED, AND THERE ARE A LOT OF THEM… THE WIND HE MOVED WITH HIS FIST…! A DIRECT HIT WOULD BE REALLY DANGEROUS!”

Genthru’s enormous form fills the panel with Gon perched on his shoulder. Killua is hurled through the air by a massive backhand. Brutal impact SFX “KACH ZIII” explode as the giant’s fist connects. A bright flash erupts with a small diamond-shaped object at its center. Genthru clutches his face in pain, smoke rising from his body, while Gon clings to his arm. The giant lets out a pained “GUOO” as his body shakes.

Gon flips open his book and shouts 'BOOK!' as he summons a card. He kicks forward with force, the Cyclops card materializing beside him showing the giant creature's details: among the giants, cyclops are the largest, they prefer moving in groups, attack creatures entering their territory, and their eye becomes fragile when attacked. Gon lands amid swirling motion lines as two massive one-eyed monsters lunge from the sides with open jaws. He ducks low, book in hand, reacting with 'ho' and 'yoh' while the beasts swing wildly. In the rocky terrain below, Biscuit stands with hands on hips, explaining there are many useless moves but these are doing good. Killua points at the cyclops and declares the eyes are the weakness, noting they only have two different ways of attacking. Gon leaps in from the side yelling 'Take this!' and strikes with a powerful blow that sends impact lines flying.

Gon and Killua stand in a rocky canyon with a defeated large monster lying behind them marked with an X. Some cards have returned to normal form. Killua remarks it wasn't as simple as planned while Gon holds the book and agrees with a thoughtful 'Hmm'. They discuss the game Jin made, confirming this is the way to continue logically and calmly toward their goal. Killua recalls feeling uneasy when meeting the bandits but now sees the monsters' weaknesses and repetitive movements as exploitable. Gon pumps his fist with a big 'YEAH...!!!' and declares that with this pace they can aim for Masadora. Both boys look energized and ready to move forward.

Under a starry night sky, a colossal spotted frog-like creature looms over a rocky ravine, its massive body filling the upper frame with black-and-white patterned skin and bulging eyes. Below it, Gon and Killua stand small on the sandy ground, staring up at the beast. Killua raises one arm while Gon stands beside him. In a close-up panel, Killua grins with eyes shut and fist pumped excitedly while Gon looks on with wide-eyed surprise. A large jagged sound effect erupts from the frog as it reacts, and the word "WAH!!" bursts from the right side of the panel.
