Kaku explains the ability: "He didn't disappear... It's his Devil Fruit ability. He's able to make gateways through the walls of the atmosphere." He adds, "The Doa Doa Fruit's true worth lies in more than just the 'air door.' Right now, he's retrieving Nico Robin." A note explains that doa means door. CP9 says, "That's more than enough!!!" and decides, "We should get away from here, quickly." Robin tries to protect the others even while rejecting the rescue: "It's okay...!! Robin, you'll be okay." She says, "You're hiding, isn't there...!? We don't care... There's still something... But when it comes to pirates you can't leave a crew without the captain's permission...!!!" Her words imply that the Straw Hats' captain has the final say, whether she wants to accept that or not.
