## One Piece Chapter 43, pages 13-14: SANJI ENTERS - Chapter: 43 - Pages: 13-14 - Characters: Zeff, Luffy, unidentified cooks, Roronoa Zoro, Usopp, Nami, Johnny, Yosaku ### Summary Page 13: The large man with the peg leg and a tall chef's hat glares menacingly. A text box introduces him as "RESTAURANT OF THE SEAS' OWNER AND HEAD CHEF, ZEFF". Zeff yells, "IT'S A COOK'S DUTY TO KEEP HIS CUSTOMERS WELL-FED. ARE YOU PLANNING ON RUINING MY RESTAURANT, YOU NUMBSKULLS!?" Several cooks drag Luffy into the room. "SIR! WE BROUGHT THE ONE RESPONSIBLE FOR THIS!", "THIS IS THE PERP!" Luffy, looking terrified, apologizes, "I'M SO SORRY, MISTER!" Then, Luffy notices Zeff's peg leg and screams in absolute horror, "GYAAAAA! YOU LOST YOUR FOOT BECAUSE OF ME!" Page 14: Luffy and Zeff are talking in Zeff's room. Zeff sits on a chair while Luffy sits on a bed. Zeff clarifies, "OH, SO YOU LOST THAT FOOT A LONG TIME AGO... I'M STILL INJURED ALL OVER MY BODY THANKS TO YOU! IF YOU GOT NO MONEY, THEN YOU'LL HAVE TO WORK IT OFF..." Luffy agrees readily, "SURE THING. I'LL MAKE IT UP TO YOU." Zeff declares his terms: "YOU'LL WORK ODD JOBS AROUND MY RESTAURANT WITHOUT PAY FOR A FULL YEAR! ONLY THEN, I'LL FORGIVE YOU." Luffy's eyes bug out in shock as he yells, "O-ONE YEAR!?" Meanwhile, back on the Going Merry, Zoro leans back and says, "LUFFY'S SURE TAKING AWHILE... YOU DON'T THINK THEY'LL FORCE HIM TO WORK HERE FOR LIKE A MONTH OR SOMETHING, DO YOU?" Usopp replies, "HE SHOULD JUST EXPLAIN THAT IT WAS ALL THE MARINE'S FAULT. THAT IDIOT'S TOO HONEST FOR HIS OWN GOOD..." Johnny suggests, "HEY, LET'S GO IN AND SEE HIM! WE COULD GET SOME FOOD WHILE WE'RE AT IT! WHADDYA SAY!?"
