A narration box establishes the setting: "PASSENGER SHIP ORBIT". The ship is shown sailing on the ocean. Inside the ship's bustling kitchen, a young Sanji, wearing a chef's uniform, is talking excitedly with the older cooks. He asks them, "DON'T YOU KNOW? THAT'S THE NAME OF THE LEGENDARY SEA." One of the cooks laughs and replies, "YOU DUMBHEAD, OF COURSE WE KNOW IT. AS COOKS OF THE SEA, IT'S THE OCEAN THAT WE'VE ALL DREAMED OF." Young Sanji smiles brightly and declares, "YEAH, IT'S AMAZING, RIGHT!? AND I'M GOING TO SEARCH FOR THAT OCEAN AND FIND IT ONE DAY!" A caption identifies him: "PASSENGER SHIP'S COOK IN TRAINING SANJI (9 YEARS AGO)". Page 18: The older cooks in the Orbit's kitchen laugh at young Sanji's ambition. One tells him, "OH, YOU'RE GOING TO BE SEARCHING, ALRIGHT. A LEGEND'S A LEGEND. YOU CAN'T FIND SOMETHING THAT DOESN'T EXIST." Sanji passionately defends his dream, insisting, "IT EXISTS! JUST THINK." YOU COULD GATHER ALL THE INGREDIENTS OF THE WORLD'S OCEANS IN ONE PLACE! IT'D BE THE ULTIMATE COOKING GROUNDS FOR A CHEF! NOW THAT'S AN OCEAN WORTH RISKING YOUR LIFE SEARCHING FOR!" Page 19: The cooks continue to dismiss Sanji's dream. One says, "BUT THAT'S ONLY IF IT REALLY EXISTS! THERE'S NO WAY SUCH A FANTASTIC OCEAN LIKE 'ALL BLUE' COULD BE REAL!" LET'S GET BACK TO WORK. SANJI, BRING THE PLATES. IT'S TIME TO WASH'EM." Sanji looks annoyed and stays silent. The cooks then start eating the leftover food from the plates they are clearing. They complain, "OH MAN, WHAT A WASTE. LOOK AT ALL THE LEFTOVERS. DAMN, THEY BARELY TOUCHED THIS STUFF. AND I WAS SO CONFIDENT ABOUT THIS DISH... THE RECENT GUESTS ARE TOO WASTEFUL."
