He is still alive, but Luffy's blow has left him unable to control the situation. Nearby, Monet stirs in the gas-filled ruins, breathing "HAA" and rustling back to consciousness. Another asks, "IS FRANKY OUTSIDE?" and Nami answers, "I THINK HE SAID HE WANTED TO MOVE THE SUNNY-GO OUT INTO THE SEA. I'M SURE HE'S FINE." Even under collapse, Luffy refuses to leave before Chopper's group arrives.
