Corazon lies that he made Law eat the Ope Ope no Mi and that Law is a Devil Fruit user now who has already made it outside the cage. He tells Doflamingo that as they speak, Law has probably made his way onto the Marine HQ patrol boat, and that Law is under their protection now: "You can't lay a finger on him."
