Shirahoshi gasps, "Father... it's the sun!" Fukaboshi asks what is wrong, and she says, "Brother! Look! The sun is shining so brightly!" The narration of wonder spreads through her words: the heights of the skies are without limit, the gleaming light of the sun sparkles all the way down to the sea, and the light of the Sunlight Tree on the seafloor pales in comparison.
