Meanwhile, at Backstreet Franky House, the Franky Family returns and finds Franky sitting outside. Franky asks, "WHAT ARE YOU DOING BACK HERE?" and when they try to speak, he cuts them off: "I'LL STOP WITH THE CHIT-CHAT, BRO...!!" They shout the truth at him anyway: "BRO!! YOU WANT TO GO WITH THE STRAWHATS, DON'T YOU?" Page 9: Franky rejects the idea loudly, saying, "OF COURSE NOT...!! LOOK AT THIS, WITH YOUR SKILLS, YOU CAN'T EVEN BUILD A DECENT ENOUGH HOUSE." The family answers that they only asked the Straw Hats to take him to sea as a favor, but Franky calls them idiots and tells them to mind their own business. He says, "HE ALREADY DECIDED IT!! YOU'RE GONNA BE THEIR SHIP, WRIGHT!!" and someone challenges him, "AND JUST WHY DO I HAVE TO BE A PIRATE?" The Franky Family cuts past the excuses. Seeing him actually build a ship was their first time realizing he could smile so happily, and they know he ran from the Straw Hats because they were looking for a ship.
