He addresses Zoro: 'Roronoa Zoro... I've heard of your name from a long time ago, but do not underestimate me. Before my great strength... you're just garbage...!!!' The Marines line up behind Morgan, aiming their rifles at Zoro and Koby. A command rings out: 'Ready!!' Koby is paralyzed with fear, tears streaming down his face. Zoro, still tied to the post, looks on with intense determination. He thinks to himself, 'I can't die here... I still have things I need to settle!!!' Page 9: A flashback begins, showing a young Zoro in a dojo. He is lying on the ground, defeated, holding two bamboo swords. A young girl with short dark hair, Kuina, stands victorious over him with her own bamboo sword. An onlooker announces, 'Kuina wins! Zoro, who used double swords, loses!! Kuina is in the lead with 2000 wins to zero!' The adult dojo members praise Kuina, noting that even when sparring with adults, she is very good. The younger students defend Zoro, saying he is the best in their dojo, but Kuina's skills are undeniable. Kuina looks down at Zoro and mocks him: 'Hmph!! How pitiful. A boy... and so useless?!! Even if he uses two swords, he is still useless! Admit defeat since you've lost!' Zoro, frustrated and angry, mutters, 'Damn it. You fiend, Kuina! This woman really makes one angry!!' while the other boys whisper that she's a bit cute but likes to show off because she's the sensei's daughter. Page 10: In the dojo, the adult students tease the sensei, Kuina's father. 'Sensei!! You've been secretly training her because she's your daughter right?!! Don't lie to us!' The sensei laughs and denies it, 'No, no such thing!' He then looks at Zoro and says, 'What a pity, Zoro. You lost again?' Zoro points at the sensei and yells, 'Sensei! Even adults can't beat me. But Zoro, Kuina is older than you.' Zoro, furious, slams his bamboo swords onto the floor, shouting, 'Why can't I defeat her?!!! Damn!!!' The scene shifts to Zoro training intensely by himself, lifting heavy boulders while sweating profusely. He declares with fierce determination, 'I want to sail and become the world's number one swordsman. I won't lose to anyone ever again!!!'
