Luffy ### Summary Page 23: As Anne reaches the cage, a loud gunshot rings out with a "SHAAAN...!" sound effect. Anne is shot in the back! She falls forward, crying out "!". She collapses against the bars of the cage while Balloon squawks in panic, "GWAAAH!! GWAAAH!!" Spiel is shown holding a smoking flintlock pistol, aiming it forward with a wicked smile. He chuckles, "PUPUH!" Spiel then laughs maniacally, "AH HA HA HA. WHO'S GONNA LET YOU TAKE HIM OUT WHEN WE FINALLY CAUGHT HIM!?" and "FOOO-OOL!!" Anne is on the ground, clutching her bleeding shoulder, gritting her teeth with a "GRIP...!!" sound. The pirate crew laughs along with Spiel in the background. Page 24: In the top panel, Spiel is looking through a telescope. He mutters, "HEY..." and then lowers it slightly, saying, "HRMM?". Through the telescope's lens, Luffy is seen standing casually on the ship's deck, holding a small wooden barrel. Luffy asks, "WHAT A GREAT WEATHER, WHERE ARE YOU HEADING?". In the bottom left panel, Spiel turns around, looking completely shocked. Luffy stands right behind him, pointing at Spiel's star-shaped head, and says bluntly, "IT LOOKS KIND OF LIKE A WATER STRIDER. YOUR HEAD, I MEAN." A massive "ZUDOON" sound effect emphasizes the insult, while the pirate crew stands frozen in disbelief in the background. In the bottom right panel, Luffy looks down at Anne, who is lying motionless face-down on the deck. A silent "....." thought bubble floats above him.
