He says, "HOWEVER, THE BELL WAS NOT RUNG. NOT EVEN ONCE..." A flashback panel shows Mont Blanc Noland being executed on a scaffold in front of a crowd. The Chief explains, "Much later, sailors from North Blue who visited these sky islands, Told us the other half of the story. Our saviour Noland, Died back on the Blue Seas while proudly claiming the glory of Shandora." Another panel shows sailors on a ship. The Chief adds, "The more the people called him 'liar,' The more steadfast he became in his refusal to deny Shandora's existence, Until the very moment of his death..." Young Wyper listens intently, looking shocked. Page 4: The Chief continues, "Meanwhile, Kalgara, too, Had died a most glorious death on the battlefield during his struggle to tell his friend that we were still here." A panel shows Kalgara looking fierce and determined. The Chief says, "But it was a fruitless struggle, because his feelings were never able to reach his one true friend... That was... The great warrior Kalgara's greatest regret...!" Young Wyper, with tears in his eyes, asks, "Chief, Tell me..." He then shouts passionately, "COULD THE BELL, STILL DELIVER ITS MESSAGE? IF WE COULD RING THE BELL, WOULD THE MESSAGE STILL REACH NOLAND!?"
