Roger, townspeople, Curly Dadan ### Summary Page 13: Luffy refuses to accept Ace's words, shouting, "What the hell are you talking about!?" and begging, "Somebody help him!!! Please save Ace!!!" Chopper and other doctors are told, "Doctor, hurry!! Please treat him!!!" Ace says it is too late: "I can tell that my life is coming to an end... He burned up my insides... zeeh... I'm done for... so..." Luffy screams back, "What are you talking about? Ace, are you gonna die? You promised!!! Haa..." Ace asks him to listen. Page 14: Luffy cries, "You promised you wouldn't die!!! Isn't that what you said, Ace!!?" Ace answers that he only ever thought about living because of Luffy: "Yeah... just like with Sabo... If I don't have an annoying little brother like you... I would never have thought... to live..." He remembers people asking, "If Gold Roger had a kid?" and answering, "Kill him!!!" Others laugh about burning the child at the stake or stabbing him with needles, while Ace admits, "Everybody would say that... I can't blame them..." Page 15: Ace's memories continue with people saying, "I hope these are his last words!" and mocking, "I'm so sorry that a piece of trash like me was born." Young Ace snaps, "Shut up!! If I was strong enough, I would have killed them all!!" He remembers being asked, "Ace!!! Did you cause trouble in town again!?" In the present, Ace tells Luffy, "Oh yeah... When you see Dadan again... Tell her thanks... Now that I'm about to die... I even kinda miss her..." His one regret is that he could not see Luffy achieve his dream, but he says, "But I'm sure you'll do it... You're my brother after all...!!"
