He says, "You've definitely got guts... Strawhat Luffy..." and adds, "But without strength... you can't help people by sheer force of will..." Luffy lies smoking and battered, still panting, "Haa... Haa..." while voices around the battlefield shout, "Take down Whitebeard!!" Luffy whispers, "Ace...!!!" and tries to rise, but Kizaru's attack sends him crashing through the plaza once more. Page 9: Whitebeard sees Luffy's struggle and turns toward Ace's little brother. A pirate identifies him, "Ace's little brother!!" while Ace watches in anguish and murmurs, "Ace..." Whitebeard comments that the Marines are sending trash like that as their vanguard, then coughs blood as the strain of battle and illness catches up with him. Nearby pirates shout, "There you are!!! Strawhat boy!! Over there, Jimbei!!!" and "Who's that!? Where'd that voice come from...!?" as Jimbei searches for the fallen Luffy. Page 10: Ivankov's giant face appears over the battlefield and shouts, "Look at that!!! What did I tell you!?" Ivankov asks, "Is the Strawhat boy still alive!?" and spots Luffy below, calling, "Luffy!!" Someone yells, "What's with that huge face!! It's the revolutionary Ivankov!!" Ivankov, badly worried, says, "Iva..." and then urges Luffy, "Haa... Haa... Let me go..." Luffy answers weakly, "Old man, I...!!" while Whitebeard tells him, "You've done plenty. Take care of him," and a pirate replies, "Yes sir!!"
