The girl, introduced by a caption as "NAME: ANNE", glares at him angrily and yells, "HOW DARE YOU? WHY'D YOU BRING BAL-LOON!?" Luffy looks confused, repeating, "BAL-LOON?" In the background, pirates are laughing as they lock the bird, Balloon, inside a cage. Anne continues to berate Luffy, "HE GOT CAUGHT BY THEM BECAUSE OF YOU!! YOU WERE HOLDING HIM DOWN RIGHT!? I WAS WATCHING!!" Luffy, sitting casually on the deck, replies, "BALLOON? OH, THAT PANDA?" Anne screams back, "HE'S NOT A PANDA!!" Luffy simply states, "HE WAS HURT." Page 6: Anne, still tied up and hanging from the mast, explains to Luffy, "THAT'S 'CAUSE HE WAS SHOT BY 'SIX-SIDED SPIEL'!!" Luffy looks up, confused, "SPIEL? WHAT'S THAT?" Anne clarifies, "HE'S THE CAPTAIN OF THIS PIRATE SHIP." Luffy throws his arms wide in surprise, exclaiming, "REALLY!? THIS IS A PIRATE SHIP!?" Anne, looking annoyed, replies, "THAT'S RIGHT, AN UNKNOWN PIRATE'S." She continues her story, "EVEN MY TOWNSPEOPLE KNEW NOTHING ABOUT SPIEL THE PIRATE UNTILL HE RAIDED OUR VILLAGE!" A close-up shows Anne sweating slightly as she adds, "THIS BOAT'S CAPTAIN IS A BLACK MAGIC USER." Luffy repeats, "BLACK MAGIC?" A flashback panel shows a dark silhouette of a man with a strange, star-shaped head holding a ball of fire, surrounded by the sound effect "GOGOGOGO". Anne narrates, "ALL THE TOWNSPEOPLE TRIED TO RAISE ARMS AND FIGHT HIM, BUT THEY COULDN'T EVEN GET CLOSE TO HIM." Back in the present, Luffy suddenly notices something off-panel, reacting with a "!" and announcing, "THE CAPTAIN HAS ARRIVED!!!"
