Crocodile explains his failsafe: "If something were to happen to the one in charge of firing the cannon, Then it's only logical to have the bomb explode on its own! Page 18: At the top of the clock tower, Vivi realizes the horrifying truth and screams down to her friends in absolute terror, "THE BOMB IS ON A TIMER! IT'S STILL GOING TO EXPLODE IF LEFT ALONE!" Down below, Usopp, Nami, Sanji, Zoro, and Chopper react with pure shock and panic, their faces contorted in disbelief as they yell, "W..." and "WHAAT!?" A wide shot shows the clock tower looming over the city of Alubarna, the deadly time bomb still ticking away inside, threatening to destroy everything despite their efforts to stop the cannon.
