"NOW, NOW. STOP THE FIGHTING, YOU TWO. YOU PICKED THE WRONG ENEMIES. IT'S JUST YOUR BAD FORTUNE TO HAVE GONE UP AGAINST THE KRIEG PIRATES." He smirks confidently, knowing they have the upper hand. "THERE'S NOTHIN' YOU CAN DO AGAINST US! AS LONG AS WE HAVE A HOSTAGE, THAT IS!" Pearl then raises his shields, preparing to strike both Luffy and Sanji. "I'LL BURN YOU TO DEATH, WITH MY FIRE PEARLS!" Page 16: Just as Pearl is about to attack, Gin suddenly appears right beside him, swinging his heavy, iron ball-tipped tonfa weapon. Pearl is caught completely off guard, exclaiming, "WHA!?" With a powerful swing, Gin smashes his weapon directly into Pearl's chest shield, shattering the thick iron with a loud crash. Sanji and Luffy watch in absolute shock, with Sanji crying out, "GIN!?" Page 17: Gin stands over the stunned Pearl, his weapon still raised. "SORRY PEARL, BUT I NEED YOU TO GET OUT OF MY WAY FOR A LITTLE WHILE," Gin says calmly. Pearl, clutching his shattered shield, stammers, "W...WHY... GIN...?" The Krieg Pirates are in an uproar, screaming, "G-GIN! WHY DID YOU ATTACK PEARL!?" Don Krieg is furious, his face twisted in rage as he yells, "GIN! YOU DARE BETRAY ME!?" Gin turns his back on Pearl and faces his captain, bowing his head slightly. "MY APOLOGIES, DON KRIEG. BUT PLEASE ALLOW ME..."
