I'm out of the forest..." He emerges near the strange place beyond Mt. Corbo and sees Ace meeting someone else. This page shows the long grind of Luffy's persistence, turning his childish request for friendship into something Ace can no longer ignore. Page 9: North of the Dadan family's base, past Mt. Corbo, lies Gray Terminal. The narration says it is filled with mountains of garbage, that a foul stench always hangs in the air, and that fires started by the sun spew smoke. Unwanted things are collected there, as well as people. The place is lawless, with no doctors, and crimes and diseases are rampant. Luffy reaches the edge of the dump and groans, "Oehh!! This place stinks!" He calls, "Sabo!! You here!?" and Sabo answers Ace, apologizing for being late. Ace grins that Sabo must already have done a job in town, while Luffy realizes, "This is... Gray Terminal."
