THEY'VE REACHED THE CHRONIC ADDICTION PHASE!!" he says. "THEIR BODIES ARE SEEKING THEIR NEXT DOSE TO ESCAPE FROM THE PAIN!!!" The horror is simple and intentional: the candy was not kindness, it was control. Chopper shouts, "JUST TO STOP THEM FROM ESCAPING THE LAB?!! WHY?!! WHY WOULD ANYONE DO THIS TO INNOCENT CHILDREN?!!"
