Luffy, Gin, Zeff, Patty, Carne ### Summary Page 9: Sanji struggles to push himself up from the deck, his face bruised and bleeding. He glares at Pearl, muttering, "YOU...!" Pearl warns Luffy, who is watching tensely, "DON'T LAY A FINGER ON HIM, ERRAND BOY!" Luffy angrily demands of Sanji, "WHY DIDN'T YOU DODGE THAT!?" Sanji, wiping blood from his chin, replies, "'CAUSE THAT DAMN GEEZER, IS HELD AT GUNPOINT BY HIM." Sanji then turns his anger towards Gin, yelling, "GIN, YOU CHEAP SON OF A BITCH... THERE'S NO WAY I CAN ACCEPT YOUR CONDITIONS!" Gin, looking stressed, argues back, "WHY NOT!? IT'S SIMPLE! ALL YOU HAVE TO DO IS LEAVE... JUST LEAVE THIS SHIP AND YOU CAN SPARE EVERYONE'S LIVES!" Page 10: Sanji, still on his knees and bleeding heavily from his mouth, looks down with a dark, serious expression. He declares, "THIS SHIP, IS THE GEEZER'S TREASURE!" He continues, his voice filled with guilt, "I TOOK EVERYTHING AWAY FROM THAT DAMN GEEZER." Gin is taken aback by this confession, thinking to himself, "SANJI! I THOUGHT SANJI HATED THE OWNER!?" Luffy listens intently as Sanji elaborates on what he took from Zeff: "HIS STRENGTH! HIS DREAMS! WHICH IS WHY..." The Baratie cooks, including Patty and Carne, are completely bewildered by Sanji's words, murmuring, "WHA...?" Page 11: Sanji yells out his resolve, "I DON'T WANT HIM TO LOSE ANYTHING ELSE!" Gin continues to hold Zeff at gunpoint. Zeff, lying on the deck, mutters gruffly, "DAMN PIPSQUEAK... NOW'S NOT THE TIME TO RAMBLE ABOUT ANCIENT HISTORY..." Suddenly, Patty screams a warning, "SANJI, WATCH OUT!" as Pearl prepares to attack again. Sanji, ignoring the warning, turns his fury towards Zeff, screaming, "AND I TOLD YOU NOT TO TREAT ME AS A DAMN KID ANYMORE! SHUT UP!" Page 12: Pearl leaps high into the air above Sanji, spreading his arms wide. He holds his large, pearl-studded shields ready to strike. He yells, "PEARL..." Sanji looks up, noticing the impending attack. With a brutal shout of "CLOSE!", Pearl slams the two heavy shields together, crushing Sanji's head between them with tremendous force. The impact creates a loud crash and a burst of impact lines.
