He is completely exhausted and emotionally shattered. Despite the truth he just saw, he crawls back to the ship, grabs his hammer, and begins frantically hammering at the wood again ("BAM!! BAM!!", "CREAK...", "CRUNCH!!!"). Tears stream down his face as he sobs, "I'M SORRY, MERRY..... I'LL FIX YOU...!! IN A MINUTE...!!!" Franky watches him in silence. Page 10: Usopp continues his desperate, futile repairs, hammering away with tears in his eyes ("I'LL FIX YOU...!!! AGAIN!! AND AGAIN!!"). Kiwi and Mozz cover their mouths, unable to watch. Franky finally speaks up, trying to reason with him: "HEY, CUT IT OUT ALREADY, LONG NOSE!! YOU SAW THE BOTTOM OF THE SHIP, RIGHT? THE KEEL IS BROKEN, THE OUTSIDE PLATES ARE MISALIGNED, AND THE RIBS ARE IN PIECES!! IT COULD COLLAPSE WITH EACH WAVE THAT HITS IT!! DO YOU THINK THAT THE REPAIRS OF SOME AMATEUR WOULD..." Page 11: In a fit of frustration, Usopp throws his tools aside, sending nails and his hammer flying into the air. He screams at the top of his lungs, "SHUT UP ALREADY!!! I DON'T WANT YOU TELLING ME THAT!!! I'LL KICK YOUR ASS IF YOU DON'T SHUT UP, YOU HOOLIGAN BASTARD!!!" After his outburst, Usopp looks down, his voice dropping to a whisper: "I knew... all of that." Franky is stunned, asking, "WHAT DID YOU SAY!?"
