Around them, the Whitebeard Pirates keep charging and shout, "Clear a path to Ace!!!" and "Show them the strength of the new world!!!" Their allied captains cut and blast through Marines, driving the battle closer to the execution platform even while the admirals and Garp hold the most dangerous positions. Page 3: Ace watches the battle from the execution platform and remembers his past. In the flashback, people ask whether he means "Gol D. Roger" and whether he knows why so many people are hurt by pirates. Ace hears people say it is all Gold Roger's fault, calling Roger someone who should not have been born and "the worst scum in the world."
