Buggy snaps that the creature is a monster precisely because it is abnormal. He says that if a beast like this were on the surface it would be eating people, so Impel Down keeps it imprisoned here instead. The Basilisk lunges through the corridor and slams its long body toward them, forcing Buggy to keep fleeing. Luffy, however, stops running and squares himself up to fight. He says, "All right, bring it on...!!!" The page shows Luffy treating Level 2's nightmare animal like another opponent to punch through on the way to Ace. Page 4: The story cuts to "Level 4 Prison Warden's Office," where Domino comments that it is terribly hot, as though a raging fire is on the other side of the wall. Hannibal explains Chief Warden Magellan's strange work habits: Magellan spends ten hours a day relieving himself, usually stays in the restroom, sleeps roughly eight hours, and after meals and breaks has only about four hours left for duties. Domino asks why he still has his job. Hannibal then warns Boa Hancock, Momonga, and Domino that Magellan ate the Doku Doku Fruit and is a poison man, so they must be careful. A scream of "JY-AAAAH!!!" comes from inside before Hannibal says Magellan will see them now, calling him someone they can count on in the worst of times.
