At the bridge, Law contacts Doflamingo with a casual "Hey, Doffy," and Doflamingo apologizes because he was in the middle of a conversation. He says, "Violet's betrayed us," and explains that thanks to her, they now have no idea about the Straw Hat crew's plans. He orders Lao G's group deployed to the entrance of the SMILE factory, and Doflamingo says those defenders alone should be enough. Law, watching the machinery of Doflamingo's organization move, calls the confidence absurd: "You've gotta be joking." But Doflamingo adds that the others are about to enter the ring for the finals and heat the place up. Even while fighting Law, he is still managing Dressrosa like a board game.
