Luffy, Buggy ### Summary Page 17: A large top panel shows the aftermath of the battle. Zoro finishes his statement from the previous page, shouting, "WE'RE PIRATES!" Large sound effect letters fill the background. Cabaji lies face down and unconscious in the foreground. Zoro drops his two swords to the ground, producing "KLANK KLANK" sound effects. In the background, Luffy and Buggy stand watching. In the bottom right panel, Zoro collapses onto his back in the dirt, completely exhausted and sweating. He says, "LUFFY... I'M GOING TO SLEEP NOW." In the bottom middle panel, Luffy replies, "GO AHEAD AND SLEEP!" In the bottom left panel, Luffy smiles confidently, punching his fist into his open palm with a "TOING" sound. He declares, "I'LL TAKE IT FROM HERE!" Page 18: In the top panel, Buggy glares menacingly, his face shadowed under his pirate hat. He says, "YOU GUYS......CALL YOURSELVES PIRATES!?" In the middle panel, Luffy stands casually with his back to the viewer, facing Buggy in the distance among the town's ruins. Luffy holds out his hand expectantly and says, "THAT'S RIGHT! NOW HAND OVER THE MAP OF THE GRAND LINE!!" In the bottom right panel, a close-up shows Buggy smirking confidently. He mocks them, "SO THAT'S WHAT YOU'RE AFTER. WELL, A COUPLE OF LILY-LIVERED, NO-NAME PIRATES LIKE YOU WON'T LAST A DAY ON THE GRAND LINE!!" In the bottom left panel, Buggy continues his rant, yelling, "WHAT DO YOU PLAN TO DO THERE!? GO SIGHTSEEING!?" Page 19: In the top panel, Luffy looks straight ahead with a calm, serious, and determined expression. He states simply, "I'M GONNA BE KING OF THE PIRATES." In the bottom right panel, Buggy bursts into uncontrollable, mocking laughter, throwing his head back with "HURF ACK HAR" and a large stylized laughter sound effect. In the bottom left panel, Buggy suddenly stops laughing and yells furiously, his angry face dominating the panel. He shouts, "DON'T BE A FOOL! IF YOU'RE KING OF PIRATES, THEN WHAT AM I!? GOD OF THE PIRATES!? THE WORLD'S TREASURE WILL BE MINE! SO FORGET IT!" Page 20: In the top left panel, Buggy stands aggressively, holding three knives between the fingers of each hand. The blades gleam with a sharp "CHEENG!" sound effect. A large "FWOOSH!!" sound effect fills the background behind him. He glares and threatens, "YOU'LL SOON REGRET YOUR WORDS, RUBBER BOY!" In the top right panel, Luffy stands casually, cracking his knuckles with a "KRAK KRAK" sound. He looks completely unfazed and replies, "I'M GETTING BORED. OKAY, HURRY UP AND ATTACK ME." The bottom half of the page shifts to a tense exchange. In the bottom right panel, a close-up shows Buggy's face, his expression turning serious and slightly angry. He says, "YOU AND YOUR STRAW HAT REMIND ME OF HIM WHEN HE WAS YOUNGER..." In the bottom middle panel, Buggy continues, his mouth wide open in a furious shout, "THAT INSOLENT DOG WITH THE RED HAIR!!!" The bottom left panel shows a close-up of Luffy's face, his eyes wide with surprise and confusion. He repeats, "...RED HAIR!?"
