Roger ### Summary Page 12: Luffy sobs that he was so scared he thought he was going to die. Ace snaps, "Shut up!! How long are you gonna cry!!? I hate weaklings and crybabies!!" and Luffy yells back, "You piss me off!!" Luffy thanks them for saving him, and Sabo explains that he is just saying thanks. Ace asks why Luffy did not say anything when those pirates do not care about killing women and children. Luffy answers that if he had talked, Ace and Sabo would not be his friends. He asks why Ace still follows him around and, after what Ace did to him, why he wants to be his friend so badly. Page 13: Luffy shouts, "Because I don't have anyone else!!!" He says he cannot go back to Windmill Village and hates bandits; if he did not follow Ace he would be alone, and being alone would be worse than being hurt. Ace asks about Luffy's parents, and Luffy says that other than Gramps, they are gone. Ace quietly asks, "If I'm around, would it be better...?" Luffy says yes. Ace remembers adults saying, "If Roger had a kid? Gahaha, that'd be the worst!!!" and calling such a child someone who should not have been born. He then asks Luffy, "And if I were gone, would it be worse...?"
