## One Piece Chapter 1.1, pages 45-46: Romance Dawn - Chapter: 1.1 - Pages: 45-46 - Characters: Monkey D. Luffy, Mikazuki no Gyari, Headman, Villagers ### Summary Page 45: Gyari thrashes in the water amidst the wreckage of his ship, furious and crying. He screams up at Luffy, "STRAW HAT!!! LUFFY!!! REMEMBER THIS!!!" Luffy looks down at him calmly from a piece of floating debris. Gyari continues his rant, "SOME DAY I'LL SET OUT TO FIND YOU, AND I'LL DEFINITELY KILL YOU!!! DON'T YOU FORGET THIS!!! DAMN IT!!!" Luffy looks slightly annoyed and replies, "WHY DO I HAVE TO REMEMBER YOU. FROM THE START TO THE END, YOU'RE THE ONE WHO CAME AND STARTED A FIGHT." The ruined ship continues to sink into the ocean. Gyari floats on a piece of wood, looking battered and defeated, coughing up water, "GEFUU!!!". A speech bubble from Luffy simply states, "IT'S A PAIN." Page 46: Luffy stands on his small boat, looking back at the sinking remains of the pirate ship. He observes, "OH, IT'S SINKING, IT'S SINKING. IT'S A GOOD THING MERUHEN GOU WAS ON THAT SHIP. WE ALMOST SUNK TOGETHER." Back in the village, the townspeople are gathered around a massive pile of recovered treasure chests and giant sacks. One villager notes, "OI, THIS IS MORE THAN WHAT WAS TAKEN FROM OUR TOWN." Another replies, "YEAH... THAT KID SAID IT WOULDN'T FIT ON THE MERUHEN SOMETHING..." The Headman scratches his head, looking utterly confused. He ponders, "THEN!! JUST WHO WAS HE, THAT GUY... NUU? EVEN THOUGH HE CAME IN ON A PIRATE SHIP, HE FOUGHT WITH THE PIRATES AND GAVE US TREASURE..." Looking out towards the sea, another villager reassures him, "WELL, IT'S ALL GOOD IN THE END, HEADMAN. IN ANY CASE WE OWE HIM OUR THANKS."
