Luffy, Balloon (bird), Anne, unidentified pirate captain, unidentified pirates ### Summary Page 3: A massive pirate ship suddenly looms over Luffy's tiny boat, cutting through the waves. The ship has a large figurehead and a Jolly Roger flag flying from the mast. Luffy looks up in shock, exclaiming, "!" and "WHAT THE HECK? WHEN DID THIS...!?" Page 4: The text "ROMANCE DAWN" appears in the top left corner. On the deck of the large ship, a girl (Anne) leans over the railing and yells down frantically, "BAL-LOON! RUN AWAY!!! HURRY!!! FLY FAR AWAY!!" Down in the small boat, the bird struggles to escape. Luffy holds onto it, complaining, "UGH!! WHAT'S GOING ON!? YOU'RE TRYING TO RUN AWAY!? THAT'S NOT HAPPENING!! THIS IS ALL YOUR FAULT, ANYWAY." A rope ladder is thrown down from the ship. A silhouette of a pirate captain with a distinctive hat and a sword on his back appears, addressing Luffy: "STRAWHAT YOUNG'UN!! CARRY THAT BIRD ONTO THE DECK, PLEASE." Page 5: Luffy is now on the deck of the pirate ship. The girl, introduced by a caption as "NAME: ANNE", glares at him angrily and yells, "HOW DARE YOU? WHY'D YOU BRING BAL-LOON!?" Luffy looks confused, repeating, "BAL-LOON?" In the background, pirates are laughing as they lock the bird, Balloon, inside a cage. Anne continues to berate Luffy, "HE GOT CAUGHT BY THEM BECAUSE OF YOU!! YOU WERE HOLDING HIM DOWN RIGHT!? I WAS WATCHING!!" Luffy, sitting casually on the deck, replies, "BALLOON? OH, THAT PANDA?" Anne screams back, "HE'S NOT A PANDA!!" Luffy simply states, "HE WAS HURT."
