## One Piece Chapter 9, pages 19-20: Femme Fatale - Chapter: 9 - Pages: 19-20 - Characters: Nami, Monkey D. Luffy ### Summary Page 19: Nami points an accusing finger at Luffy and says, "I GET IT... YOU'RE AFTER SOME FANTASTIC TREASURE AND YOU KEEP THE MAP IN THAT HAT OF YOURS." Luffy holds the brim of his hat, looking annoyed, and replies, "I TOLD YOU, THERE'S NO MAP IN MY HAT!" Nami retorts, "THEN WHY IS THAT RAGGEDY OLD HAT SO PRECIOUS TO YOU, LIAR?" Luffy holds the hat gently in front of him, a fond smile on his face, and explains, "I TREASURE THIS HAT BECAUSE A FRIEND GAVE IT TO ME A LONG TIME AGO. THAT'S WHEN I SWORE I'D GATHER A CREW AND BECOME A PIRATE." Nami listens, her expression softening slightly, before she looks down and scoffs, "HMPH! PIRATES, PHOOEY!" Luffy puts his hat back on his head as Nami adds, "THESE ARE CRAZY TIMES." Page 20: The page begins with Nami shown from the waist up, looking furious with her fists clenched. She yells, "IF THERE'S ONE THING IN THIS WORLD I REALLY HATE......IT'S PIRATES!!" A smaller jagged speech bubble next to her adds, "BUT I LOVE MONEY! AND TANGERINES!" In the next panel, Nami is seen in profile, looking thoughtful and slightly annoyed. She thinks to herself, "THIS GUY'S A STUPID, WORTHLESS PLUNDERER... HE DOESN'T SEEM TO HAVE ANYTHING WORTH STEALING... BUT MAYBE HE COULD STILL BE OF USE TO ME..." The scene shifts back to her conversation with Luffy. Luffy, still hoping she will join him, asks, "SO HOW 'BOUT IT? WANNA BE MY NAVIGATOR?" Nami angrily retorts, "I TOLD YOU TO FORGET ABOUT IT! YOU NO-GOOD PIRATE!!" In the final panel, Nami suddenly gets an idea. A black thought bubble with a skull and crossbones appears next to her head as she smirks slyly and thinks, "I GOT IT!"
