The second ship he boarded docked at Lulusia, where the people who arrested King Seki and Princess Komane were waiting to ambush the royals. Since Sabo was a stowaway, they welcomed him with open arms. That is when he saw the newspapers and discovered that the Government had pinned King Cobra's murder on him. The people of Lulusia considered him a hero, and although Sabo wanted to tell them the truth, he says that when he saw how the flames of rebellion had fanned within them, the words died in his mouth. Betty and the others had already inspired many of them, and Sabo ended up bringing many hopeful recruits back with him. Page 10: Sabo explains the call that made the World Government think he was still on Lulusia. Because he could not make direct contact without an encryption snail, he rerouted his call through the island while they were setting sail. He expected the Government to intercept the signal, and doing it that way would fool them into thinking he was still on Lulusia. The island was within range because his new ship had already set out to sea. Ivankov realizes that the annihilation of Lulusia happened during that call. Sabo says everyone aboard was hysterical because many had family on the island, and they watched their country get obliterated in front of their eyes. He says an enormous shadow seemed to engulf the sky above them, and the next moment, everything was gone.
