Luffy ### Summary Page 20: The page begins with Nami shown from the waist up, looking furious with her fists clenched. She yells, "IF THERE'S ONE THING IN THIS WORLD I REALLY HATE......IT'S PIRATES!!" A smaller jagged speech bubble next to her adds, "BUT I LOVE MONEY! AND TANGERINES!" In the next panel, Nami is seen in profile, looking thoughtful and slightly annoyed. She thinks to herself, "THIS GUY'S A STUPID, WORTHLESS PLUNDERER... HE DOESN'T SEEM TO HAVE ANYTHING WORTH STEALING... BUT MAYBE HE COULD STILL BE OF USE TO ME..." The scene shifts back to her conversation with Luffy. Luffy, still hoping she will join him, asks, "SO HOW 'BOUT IT? WANNA BE MY NAVIGATOR?" Nami angrily retorts, "I TOLD YOU TO FORGET ABOUT IT! YOU NO-GOOD PIRATE!!" In the final panel, Nami suddenly gets an idea. A black thought bubble with a skull and crossbones appears next to her head as she smirks slyly and thinks, "I GOT IT!" Page 21: Nami leans on a table, looking at Luffy who is sitting casually in a chair. She says, "BUT YOU SEEM TO REALLY NEED A NAVIGATOR, SO I'LL CONSIDER IT ON ONE CONDITION." Luffy looks back at her with interest and asks, "REALLY? WHAT'S YOUR CONDITION?" In a close-up, Nami smiles and holds up one finger, saying, "JUST A LITTLE THING. IT'S NOTHING, REALLY. GO WITH ME TO SEE BUGGY." Luffy stands up enthusiastically, cracking his knuckles with "KLAK KLAK" sound effects. He grins widely and agrees, "YOU GOT IT! LET'S GO! WHERE IS THIS BUGGY?" In the background, Nami tells him, "HOLD ON, I HAVE TO GET READY." In the next panel, Nami is holding a coiled rope. Luffy looks at it and asks, "WHAT'S THAT ROPE FOR?" Nami casually replies, "OH, I ALWAYS CARRY A ROPE." The page ends with a close-up of Nami smiling mischievously at Luffy as she asks, "SO, YOU WANT TO BE A PIRATE, DO YOU?"
