Luffy stands his ground, "WELL SAID, COBY! NOW GET BEHIND ME!!". The mace strikes Luffy's head with a loud thud, but it doesn't faze him. The pirates watch in disbelief, "BOTH OF YOU...". Luffy smiles, "IT'S USELESS AGAINST ME", "BECAUSE MY BODY IS RUBBER". Alvida is shocked, "IM...THAT'S IMPOSSIBLE!!! MY BLUDGEON!". Page 20: Luffy stretches his arm far back behind him. The pirates and Koby watch in absolute shock, "NO WAAAY!!!", "!?:!?". Luffy yells, "GOMU GOMU NO...", "PISTOL...". His fist snaps forward like a slingshot, striking Alvida squarely in the face with tremendous force. She is sent flying backward. Page 21: Alvida crashes to the ground, defeated. Luffy points at the crew and commands, "PREPARE A BOAT FOR COBY!", "HE WANTS TO JOIN THE MARINES!! SO STAY OUTTA HIS WAY!". The pirates quickly agree, "Y... YES". Luffy laughs, "HEE HEE HEE HEE!". Koby looks at him with tears of admiration, "LUFFY-SAN...".
