Rebecca says she received a letter from Soldier-san explaining he is trying to distance himself from her. He wrote that he wants to make her a stranger because he said such terrible things, and that she is just some one-legged toy. Rebecca breaks down: "What? You aren't even my parent!" and wonders if he detests the thought of living with her, or thinks she will be a burden. Page 7: Rebecca shouts that she hates the situation and asks Luffy whether he was really okay with the way things turned out. Luffy snaps back that he has no idea and tells her to think about it herself: "I can't stay in this country any longer!" Then he asks, "Then, will you come with me?" Rebecca agrees. Viola calls after them, "Rebecca! Straw Hat! Wait just a minute!" but Rebecca says she has a favor to ask Viola. Luffy carries Rebecca and leaps from the palace wall.
