## One Piece Chapter 59, pages 2-4: DEBT - Chapter: 59 - Pages: 2-4 - Characters: Baratie cooks, Luffy, Patty, Carne, Gin, Pearl, Sanji, Don Krieg ### Summary Page 2: The revelation shocks the Baratie cooks floating in the water. They piece the story together, exclaiming, "SO OWNER ZEFF GAVE UP HIS LEG, TO SAVE SANJI...? THEN THE REASON WHY HE'S STAYED HERE ALL ALONG, SANJI'S BARELY STANDING...!" Luffy watches the scene unfold with a serious, silent expression. Patty and Carne, also in the water, are stunned by the news. Patty says, "MUST'VE BEEN TO REPAY HIS DEBT TO OWNER ZEFF...! NEVER WOULD'VE IMAGINED THAT TWO PEOPLE WHO ARGUE WITH EACH OTHER ALL THE TIME WOULD SHARE SUCH A DEEP RELATIONSHIP..." On the deck, Gin sweats profusely, his face contorted with conflict as he holds his gun on Zeff. He stares at the battered cook and asks, "WHY... WHY DO YOU STILL STAND UP, SANJI...!?" Page 3: Pearl, covered in his iron shields, laughs uproariously at Sanji's battered state. "HAAAHA HAHA! STILL HAVEN'T HAD ENOUGH OF MY PEARL PRESENTS!? YOU AIN'T GOT A CHANCE OF WINNING!" Sanji stands silently, bleeding but unyielding. Pearl continues his taunts, gesturing broadly, "THE FINAL RESULT IS ALL THAT MATTERS IN THIS WORLD! IF YOU LOSE, THEN YOU'RE A LOSER! NO OTHER WAY ABOUT IT! IT DOESN'T MATTER IF YOU TAKE HOSTAGES! THE LAST MAN STANDING IS THE VICTOR! ISN'T THAT RIGHT, DON KRIEG!?" In the background, Don Krieg watches the one-sided fight with a stern expression and simply agrees, "EXACTLY." Page 4: Pearl turns his attention to Gin, who is still holding Zeff hostage. "RIGHT, GIN!?" Pearl asks, though he quickly answers his own question with a smug grin. "GUESS IT'S NOT EVEN NECESSARY TO ASK... YOU ARE THE ONE HOLDING HIM AT HOSTAGE, AFTER ALL... IN ANY CASE, YOU'LL LOSE WITHOUT LAYING EVEN A FINGER ON US IN THE END." Pearl then directs his mockery back at Sanji, "SO WHY DO YOU STILL STAND!? YOU'LL ONLY BE BEATEN TO A BLOODY PULP IF YOU DO!" Despite the grim situation and his severe injuries, Sanji smiles defiantly, blood running down his face. "I WANT TO PRESERVE THIS RESTAURANT, IF EVEN JUST ONE SECOND LONGER."
