Luffy, Helmeppo ### Summary Page 4: Back at the execution grounds, Roronoa Zoro is still tied to the wooden cross. Koby runs up to him, panting heavily and bleeding from a gunshot wound on his shoulder. Zoro looks down at him and asks, 'Are you alright......?' Koby falls to his knees in front of Zoro, desperately trying to untie the ropes. He cries, 'No!!... I've... got to set you free as soon as possible...!! They're almost here...' Zoro tells him, 'Run for your life. Hurry and lea... There is no need to worry about me. As long as I can stand this for a month, they'll set me free.' Koby, tears streaming down his face, reveals the truth: 'They will not set you free!! Because they're gonna kill you in three days!! Nonsense...! That bastard promised me that if I could survive this for a month, he'd free me...' Page 5: Koby continues explaining the situation to Zoro, revealing Helmeppo's deception. 'He never intended to keep his promise! Because he was toying with you!!' A flashback panel shows Luffy punching Helmeppo in the face. Koby adds, 'That's why Luffy-san punched him on your behalf...!!!' Zoro is stunned, his eyes widening as he asks, 'Wh... what did you just say...?!!!' Koby, sweating and desperate, pleads with Zoro: 'The Marines will never let the two of you off! Please!! After I set you free, please help rescue Luffy-san!! Luffy-san is very strong!! As long as you two join forces, you all will definitely be able to escape this town!! Definitely!!' Zoro looks down, conflicted, and replies, 'I will not force you to become a pirate, however, he's my savior!!'
