Luffy ### Summary Page 20: Anne has somehow escaped the cell and is peeking out onto the ship's deck. She smiles and whispers, "LUCKY!!" and "THEY'RE ALL NAPPING!" Several pirates are shown sleeping on the deck with "ZZZ" bubbles. She notes, "BUT IT LOOKS LIKE THERE ARE STILL A COUPLE OF GUARDS." A close-up shows Balloon the bird inside his cage. He notices something with a "!" bubble. Anne's voice from off-panel whispers, "I'LL GET YOU OUTTA THERE SOON!" A guard is seen sleeping nearby. The bottom panel features a large, creepy close-up of Six-Sided Spiel's face. He has a star-shaped head, a mustache, and a wide, sinister smile. A "GRIN" sound effect accompanies his expression. Page 21: Luffy is happily running across the deck, carrying a small wooden boat filled with a barrel and supplies. He laughs, "HA HA HA HA HA HA" and says, "FOUND IT, FOUND IT, A NICE BOAT!" and "ON TOP OF THAT, I FOUND FOOD, TOO!" A wide shot of the pirate ship on the sea is shown, accompanied by a loud shout of "UOOOOOO". Anne is then shown sweating and looking determined. A pirate is struck down, yelling "UGH...". In the bottom panel, Anne stands triumphantly on the deck, holding a sword. She has her foot planted firmly on the head of a defeated pirate lying on the ground. She declares, "YOU LOOKED DOWN ON ME 'CAUSE I'M A GIRL, DIDN'T YOU?" and "LET BALLOON GO AS YOU PROMISED!" Other pirates stand in the background, watching in shock. Page 22: Spiel points his finger forward with a menacing look, muttering, "SCUM..." and "LOSING TO A LITTLE GIRL..." Suddenly, a tiny, magical projection of Spiel appears on Anne's hand, burning her. She drops her sword and screams, "AH!!!" and "HOOOT!!!" The pirate crew watches nervously, sweating. Anne is then shown holding a key that sparkles with a "KI...N!!" sound. A speech bubble, likely from Spiel conceding, says, "YOU WIN." and "YOU CAN LET HIM GO." Anne smiles brightly and says, "YEAH!" She holds the key up to Balloon's cage, saying happily, "BALLOON! I'LL LET YOU OUT NOW!!" Balloon squawks excitedly, "GWAAH GWAAH". Page 23: As Anne reaches the cage, a loud gunshot rings out with a "SHAAAN...!" sound effect. Anne is shot in the back! She falls forward, crying out "!". She collapses against the bars of the cage while Balloon squawks in panic, "GWAAAH!! GWAAAH!!" Spiel is shown holding a smoking flintlock pistol, aiming it forward with a wicked smile. He chuckles, "PUPUH!" Spiel then laughs maniacally, "AH HA HA HA. WHO'S GONNA LET YOU TAKE HIM OUT WHEN WE FINALLY CAUGHT HIM!?" and "FOOO-OOL!!" Anne is on the ground, clutching her bleeding shoulder, gritting her teeth with a "GRIP...!!" sound. The pirate crew laughs along with Spiel in the background.
