Magellan is surprised and asks, "Wax...?" Mr. 3 explains, "That's right, I ate the Doru Doru Fruit and I'm a candle man. This wax wall is as hard as iron. Your venom won't pass through!!!" Crocodile remarks that one never knows how abilities will interact, and the prisoners cheer that Magellan's Hydra was stopped and say they have gained even more respect for "3 bro." Page 2: Luffy realizes Mr. 3 can stop Magellan and says that only as long as the escapees move now can one of the hot floors be closed off. He tells the others to hurry ahead and take a ship while he tries to stop the poison guy until they get there, saying he has an idea. Jimbei asks whether Luffy really has a plan and warns that taking a ship with Magellan on their backs would be difficult. Luffy says they will all fight together, but Mr. 3 panics that he has no intention of fighting and was planning to run while the guard was up. The prisoners say they are weak but will stay too, while Mr. 3 insists, "I'm telling you, I don't want to!!"
