## One Piece Chapter 14, pages 12-14: RECKLESS - Chapter: 14 - Pages: 12-14 - Characters: Monkey D. Luffy, Nami, Boodle, Roronoa Zoro ### Summary Page 12: The page opens with a massive cloud of smoke and debris billowing into the sky, accompanied by a loud "WHOOO...!!!" sound effect. In the foreground, Luffy and Nami stand looking toward the destruction. In the next panel, Luffy shouts toward the settling dust, "HEY, ZOLO!!! ARE YOU ALIVE!?". Nami stands beside him, looking shocked, while a small bubble nearby reads "HUH?". On the right side of the panel, Boodle, the mayor, stares in disbelief, sweating and exclaiming, "COULD THE KID WITH THE BELLY-BAND HAVE SURVIVED THAT!?". A "KLAK KLAK" sound effect indicates shifting rubble. In the bottom panel, Zoro emerges from the wreckage, sitting up and holding his head with a groan of "UNGHH!". A large, bold "TA-DA!" sound effect frames his reappearance. Zoro remarks, "THAT'S ONE HECK OF AN ALARM CLOCK!". Page 13: In the top right panel, Luffy smiles brightly and says, "HEY! YOU'RE ALIVE!". In the adjacent panel, Nami looks relieved but still astonished, asking, "HOW COULD ANYONE LIVE THROUGH THAT!?". Below, Boodle's expression turns to pure fury. He clenches his fists, gritting his teeth as he growls, "THAT TEARS IT!...!!". He stomps his foot down hard with a "FWAP!!" sound effect. Nami turns to him in surprise, calling out, "MAYOR!". Boodle yells passionately, "I CAN'T TAKE ANY MORE! I WON'T LOSE A SECOND TOWN TO THOSE SEA RATS!". A "WOOO..." sound effect lingers in the air. A close-up shows Boodle's face contorted in anger, a "GRR" sound effect beside him, as he mutters, "THESE PIRATES SHOW UP, THINK THEY CAN DO AS THEY PLEASE... BUT I WON'T LET 'EM WRECK FORTY YEARS OF HARD WORK!!!". In the final panel, Boodle raises a long spear into the air, declaring loudly, "I'M THE MAYOR!!! I WON'T TAKE THIS SITTING DOWN!". Luffy and Nami watch his outburst from behind. Page 14: Boodle charges forward, spear in hand, determined to fight. Nami runs after him, reaching out to stop him. "MAYOR! WAIT, PLEASE!!" she cries out. Boodle yells back, "IT'S TIME TO FIGHT! LET ME GO, GIRLIE!". Nami pleads with him, "GETTING YOURSELF KILLED WON'T ACCOMPLISH ANYTHING! YOU'RE BEING RECKLESS!!". The middle of the page features a massive, intense close-up of Boodle's face, his eyes wide and veins bulging. A gigantic "BAM" sound effect explodes behind him as he screams at the top of his lungs, "I KNOW I'M BEING RECKLESS!!!!". The bottom of the page shows three separate reaction panels. On the left, Zoro looks on with a serious, focused expression. In the center, Luffy also wears a serious, unblinking stare. On the right, Nami looks completely stunned, a small exclamation mark bubble floating next to her head.
