Yet Sanji measures the fight with grim confidence. "LUCCI IS... REALLY STRONG...!!!" he says, and admits, "IF THE STRAWHAT HADN'T BEEN HOLDING HIM BACK IN THAT PLACE FOR A LONG TIME... HONESTLY, I DON'T KNOW HOW MANY OF US WOULD'VE DIED." Nami understands the same thing from another angle. Luffy has always known whom he should fight from the very beginning.
