The giant statues and teepees are blown apart by the sheer force of the attacks. Shandians are seen fleeing in panic. One shouts, "AGHHH! OUR VILLAGE! NOOOO!" As they escape on small boats, another remarks, "That was close... If we'd stayed any longer, we'd all be burnt bits by now..." The destruction is absolute as the village is reduced to rubble and smoke. Page 9: The destruction spreads across the sky. Captain McKinley of the White Berets urgently commands the evacuation of Angel Island. He shouts, "To the seas! HURRY ON OUT TO THE SEAS! ANGEL ISLAND WILL SOON BE NO MORE! TAKE TO THE SEAS!"
