Luffy, Roronoa Zoro, small birds ### Summary Page 0: The title page displays the large text "CHAPTER 8: NAMI". Below it, an illustration shows Monkey D. Luffy sitting casually on the side of a small wooden boat. He is holding his straw hat with one hand and resting his foot on his knee. Behind him stands Roronoa Zoro, holding his sword upright. Several small, round, fluffy birds are perched in a row along the boat's railing, and one is perched on the hilt of Zoro's sword. The number "189" is visible in the bottom left corner. Page 1: A small boat drifts on the open ocean under a partly cloudy sky. From the boat, a voice complains, "I'M STARVING!" while another simply replies, "...". Inside the boat, Zoro sits across from Luffy. Zoro asks, "DON'T YOU THINK IT'S STRANGE THAT YOU CAN'T NAVIGATE?" Luffy, sitting comfortably, replies, "NO, DRIFTING HAS WORKED PRETTY WELL FOR ME." Zoro looks annoyed and points out, "WHAT ABOUT YOU? YOU'RE SUPPOSED TO BE THE HOLY TERROR OF THE SEAS!" Luffy casually responds, "I DON'T RECALL EVER CALLING MYSELF THAT." Zoro explains his own situation: "I FOLLOWED A PIRATE I WAS AFTER OUT TO SEA. BUT I COULDN'T FIND MY WAY BACK TO MY VILLAGE." Page 2: Luffy laughs at Zoro's explanation, saying, "HMPH! SO YOU GOT LOST?" Zoro yells back angrily, his face exaggerated, "YOU DON'T HAVE TO PUT IT LIKE THAT!" Zoro calms down and continues, "SO I MADE THE BEST OF THINGS. I WENT AFTER PIRATES THAT WERE IN THE AREA. I HAD TO EARN MONEY SOMEHOW..." Zoro sits in the boat, looking down thoughtfully. "ANYWAY, WHAT KIND OF A PIRATE DOESN'T KNOW HOW TO NAVIGATE A SHIP? IT'S RIDICULOUS! AT THIS RATE, WE'LL NEVER MAKE IT TO THE GRAND LINE. WE'VE GOT TO RECRUIT A NAVIGATOR AS SOON AS POSSIBLE." Suddenly, Luffy flops onto his back on the floor of the boat with a "FLOP FLOP", complaining again, "I'M STARVING!" He then sits up, holding up his fingers as he lists off, "AND WE NEED A COOK, AND A MUSICIAN, AND--" Zoro interrupts him, yelling with sharp, angry teeth, "THOSE CAN WAIT!!"
