He adds that if Bon Clay had gone there earlier during his rampage, it would not have been so easy, because Impel Down has one more person of immense strength: the Head Guard. Shiryu of the Rain is said to be on par with Warden Magellan, and if Magellan is temporarily out of commission, the one to really worry about is Shiryu. Iva calls Magellan and Shiryu the backbone of Impel Down's impregnable walls. Page 11: In a dark corridor, Magellan confronts Shiryu. He says, "The prisoners aren't just here for your amusement, Shiryu!!!" Shiryu answers, "Who cares... If I cut down this trash...?" The scene establishes that Shiryu massacred many prisoners for no apparent reason, was labeled a dangerous threat, and was imprisoned on Level 6. Ivankov, back in New Kama Land, explains he had not even heard of this before he was captured. He also names terrifying Level 6 figures such as Catarina Devon, San Juan Wolf and Vasco Shot, pirates whose names alone would make people shiver.
