"RIGHT, GIN!?" Pearl asks, though he quickly answers his own question with a smug grin. "GUESS IT'S NOT EVEN NECESSARY TO ASK... YOU ARE THE ONE HOLDING HIM AT HOSTAGE, AFTER ALL... IN ANY CASE, YOU'LL LOSE WITHOUT LAYING EVEN A FINGER ON US IN THE END." Pearl then directs his mockery back at Sanji, "SO WHY DO YOU STILL STAND!? YOU'LL ONLY BE BEATEN TO A BLOODY PULP IF YOU DO!" Despite the grim situation and his severe injuries, Sanji smiles defiantly, blood running down his face. "I WANT TO PRESERVE THIS RESTAURANT, IF EVEN JUST ONE SECOND LONGER." Page 5: Sanji's declaration shocks everyone. Luffy stares with wide eyes, while Patty, floating in the water, screams in frustration, "AGHHH! ARE YOU TRYING TO KILL YOURSELF!?" Gin looks deeply unsettled, sweat pouring down his face as he holds his weapon. Zeff, still held at gunpoint, grits his teeth and mutters, "DAMN BRAT..." Pearl, however, is unimpressed by Sanji's resolve. He readies his flaming shields for another attack, scoffing, "HAH! WELL, WELL... AIN'T THAT A FLASHY LAST STAND!? BUT THE TIME TO CLOSE UP THIS RESTAURANT IS NOW AT HAND! FROM NOW ON, IT'LL BE A PIRATE SHIP! DOUBLY-CERTAIN PEARL..." Page 6: Pearl lunges forward, slamming his heavy, flaming shield directly into Sanji's face with a devastating "PRESENT!!" attack. The sheer force of the blow sends Sanji flying backward across the wooden deck, skidding violently as Luffy watches in shock. Sanji lets out a pained "UGH!" as he hits the ground. Down in the water, the Baratie cooks panic as the flames from Pearl's attacks begin to spread across the ship's exterior. "SANJI!" they cry out. "AHHH HOT! CRAP! THE FIRE'S GROWING LARGER!"
