Sanji is stunned and asks whether Pekoms is serious. Baron Tamago scolds him not to place personal feelings above the mission, but Pekoms insists he cannot let anything happen to the people who saved his home. Suddenly Capone Bege calls him a native fool and shoots Pekoms in the back, making Sanji shout, "Bastard!!" Page 11: Sanji and Brook react in shock that Bege shot his own crewmate in the back. Bege dismisses Pekoms as pathetic, saying that letting emotions and personal feelings get the better of him only turns a person into a fool and a coward.
