Killua appears in extreme close-up, face contorted with rage, fist raised, shouting WOO GA— —!!!! amid impact lines. In the next panels Killua stands in profile declaring I'M BACK UP ON MY FEET!! with a Hmph!! sound. Gon responds OKAY!! from the side. Killua's intense eyes fill a panel as he thinks SINCE KNUCKLE AND EVERYONE WILL DEFINITELY RESCUE KAITO.... He continues I'M GONNA BECOME STRONGER! and later I WON'T DISAPPOINT KAITO WHEN HE RETURNS. Killua stands determined with clenched fists while Gon watches from the background.

A woman with long hair and a wide hat sits reading an ornate book. She speaks firmly: "I was going to kick you off if you didn't shape up by the time we passed this mountain." Kaito probably wouldn't want to see you guys if he knew you were being like this. The boy with spiky hair, Gon, listens as she continues, "So you've known all along. Oh? We've been with him longer. Even though you may have met him before us..." In a dramatic close-up she leans forward intensely, declaring, "What I want from you two isn't regret or remorse!! He is most definitely still alive." Close-ups follow of an eye and a pointing finger as she urges, "All the way through! Show the determination to see it through... Make the right decision and... What is it that you have to do right now?" Gon responds with fierce resolve, "Ex-actly. Yeah!" The woman, now seated on wooden stairs with Gon standing nearby and a small round creature beside her, adds, "If you're weak, train. Even here, you can at least do squats or pushups, right?"

A flashback panel shows a bearded man hanging upside down asking, "Why do you want to become a Hunter?" The woman answers, "I have a huge debt to pay off." In a desert landscape labeled "SPINA," a small figure walks among rocky formations. Close-ups show wide eyes and the woman continuing, "The reason for that is still unknown...whether it's because of the water, the food, or the climate... They're birds who only live around certain mining areas. Yup. Have you ever heard of Kokuchi swans?" She adjusts her hat and explains, "Kaito was the first adult to seriously listen to us - two kids with absolutely nothing. Although, to be honest, there's really not much left of it. So I just bought the entire area." The final panel shows a dark silhouette of hills labeled "OUR HOME" and "That mining area is where Stin and I grew up..."

It is the oldest memory I possess, and will never fade. The beautiful sight of the tens of thousands of Kokuchi swans taking flight with the sunrise every morning... A young woman with long hair and a hat chews bubble gum while recalling Kaito's words. "That he envied us," she says. "Kaito only said one thing... Just how important it was to me. I only realized after it was designated to be a potential dumping ground..." A lone silhouetted figure stands holding a sword. "He doesn't even know where he was born. He doesn't have a place to call home." The young woman continues, "I will show it to you guys... when we've completed this mission..." Killua and a small wide-eyed companion look on. A final oval caption declares, "MY TREASURE."

Large black Japanese sound effects erupt across the panel. The woman turns sharply, eyes wide. A lone figure sprints across open ground toward a massive, ancient tree with sprawling roots. The runner raises an arm triumphantly and shouts, "GOAL!" In a close-up, a feline humanoid with wild hair, cat ears, and a scarred cheek glares forward with intense eyes. A vertical box declares "I AM" while a large speech bubble proclaims "THE SPEED KING!!" Below, the creature's clawed foot slams into the dirt as two massive circular bursts of text explode outward: "THAT CAN STOP ME!!" and "THERE IS NOBODY."

A crocodile-like creature lounges while declaring it will take its time. It muses that at that speed Zitoh is probably past the borders by now. The creature envisions "A PARADISE ALL TO MYSELF" filled with "AN ABUNDANCE OF FOOD AND FEMALES." It continues that cows, pigs, humans, and boars do not matter as long as there are plenty of them. A close-up shows its eye as it concludes "AFTER ALL..." On the right side of the page, a massive impact erupts with radiating speed lines and the word "root" visible near the bottom.

A lone muscular figure with a long tail stands on cracked ground beneath a massive glowing ring, hands on hips, declaring, "I AM THE GLUTTON KING." A huge crocodile-like beast lies sprawled nearby amid scattered debris and impact marks. In another scene, several chimeric figures gather on rocky terrain: a lion-headed soldier, a floating monkey-like creature, a small winged girl with a tail, a long-haired person seen from behind, and a hooded figure with a pot. Text boxes state that those who were once soldiers have each started on their own path to become king. The sequence ends on a close view of a person in a striped hat and dark jacket, with the words "THE KING..." and "AND" framing the panel.

A grand domed palace complex rises in a vast desert landscape. A winged figure with a long tail flies low over the central avenue toward the main building. In the final panels, remaining soldiers shout warnings: "IF YOU DON'T COMPL..." and "LEAVE THESE PREMISES AT ONCE!!" as the confrontation escalates.

The final panel shows a figure tumbling violently to the floor with a loud crash sound effect as an unseen voice remarks, "WHAT AN IDIOT..."

In a vast, columned palace hall with a checkered floor, several figures stand at a distance. The Chimera Ant King stands prominently in the foreground, arms crossed, addressing unseen intruders. He states, "I DON'T KNOW WHICH COUNTRY'S MILITARY YOU GUYS BELONG TO... BUT AS LONG AS YOU'VE TRESPASSED INTO THIS PALACE, DON'T EXPECT A COMFORTABLE DEATH." Behind him, Shaiapouf and other Royal Guards are visible. A close-up shows Knuckle Bine with a serious expression, while another panel captures Killua's intense gaze. An unseen voice says "MMMM." A Royal Guard addresses the King with "YOUR MAJESTY." The Chimera Ant King continues, "I CAN SENSE IT EVEN WITHOUT CONCENTRATING MY EYES," his massive form dominating the lower panel as he looks toward the distant figures in the hall.

Against a pitch-black background, a powerful silhouette stands amid roaring white flames. A voice declares, "IT'S A RARE PREY." In a tight close-up, a wide, grinning mouth fills the panel as the speaker continues, "MY MOUTH IS WATER-ING..." Below, a horizontal strip shows a clawed hand reaching upward amid heavy Japanese sound effects. The scene shifts to a tense close-up of a spiky-haired man in a high-collared outfit, sweat on his face, eyes wide with shock. Speech bubbles read "THIS...
