Gon and Killua face each other in a tense exchange. Killua shouts angrily, "I DON'T CARE ABOUT YOUR APOLOGIES!! WHAT THE HELL WENT THROUGH YOUR MIND?!" while Gon looks surprised, replying "EH..." and "AIE!" as small "TAC TAC" and "TATT" sound effects appear near Killua's head. In the next panels, Gon reflects, "I THOUGHT: 'IT WILL ALL BE OKAY, THERE'S NO PROBLEM...'" and Killua responds, "I KNOW, BUT..." then questions, "WHY DO YOU THINK GLASSES-GUY US THIS STUFF?" Gon continues explaining, "A BIT MORE, AND YOU WOULD HAVE FINISHED LIKE THEM!" and "YOU SAW WHAT HAPPENED TO THE ONES THAT COME HERE WITHOUT KNOWING ANYTHING ABOUT NEN, DIDN'T YOU?" Killua recalls, "I ENDURED HIS ATTACKS SEVERAL TIMES... IF I WAS ABLE TO PROTECT MY VITAL POINTS, I WOULDN'T DIE..." and warns Gon, "CONSIDER YOURSELF REALLY LUCKY THAT IT DIDN'T END WORSE!" Suddenly, someone screams "AAAAAH!" from off-panel as Gon turns and asks "YES?" with "TOC TOC" footsteps approaching. In the final panels, a door opens with a dramatic "!" and swirling effect, revealing a silhouette as Killua wonders, "WHO COULD IT BE?"

The man then warns, "IF YOU DON'T RESPECT THESE CONDITIONS, I'LL CONSIDER MYSELF TO HAVE NOTHING TO DO WITH YOU ANYMORE," with large sound effects emphasizing the threat. In a wide empty panel Killua stands alone looking back. The scene shifts to a large hall where Wing asks, "WHAT'S YOUR TRUE OBJECTIVE?" and calls "KILLUA..." Gon answers from the side, "THAT'S ALL." He explains, "AS FOR GON, HE CAME HERE TO FOLLOW A FIGHT, TRAINING TO CONFRONT WITH THAT GUY, HISOKA." Wing reflects, "IF WE HADN'T MET YOU, ZUSHI AND YOU, MY GOAL WOULD HAVE BEEN TO EARN SOME MONEY. IT HAS CHANGED ON OUR WAY HERE... AN OBJECTIVE...?" The group stands together in the spacious room with benches and pillars.

In the stands, a bespectacled man remarks, "..." while another voice continues, "FOR GON I DON'T KNOW, BUT..." Nearby spectators discuss the ongoing match: "THE BATTLE OLYMPIA... IT DOESN'T REALLY INTEREST ME. MOST OF THE PEOPLE OF THE 200TH FLOOR SEEM TO BE TARGETING THE LAST FLOOR, BUT..." Killua sits on a bench with his arms resting on his knees, listening as the conversation turns to yesterday's match. "LOOKING AT WHAT HE DID IN YESTERDAY'S MATCH... The arena is overwhelmed by a storm of spinning tops. A narrator exclaims, "THE NUMBER OF SPINNING TOPS PIROUETTING OVER THE RING MUST BE CLOSE TO 50 NOW!! AND IT'S BEEN OVER AN HOUR!!" Gido, arm extended with his launching device, continues hurling more tops while the crowd wonders, "HOW LONG WILL HE BE ABLE TO CONTINUE THIS WAY?!" The scene is described as "IT'S A REAL HURRICANE OF SPINNING TOPS THAT GON MANAGES TO AVOID!!" Gido has thrown all his tops and can now only watch alongside the spectators. Gon is shown on the arena floor, dodging desperately amid flying tops and debris. In a close-up, Gon shouts with a fierce expression, "NO! NOT THIS WAY!!" while another panel shows him gritting his teeth in determination.

Gon is trapped in a confined space, his face twisted in pain as he cries out 'ARGH!' with sweat flying from his brow. Outside on the steps, Killua walks away while saying, "HUH? NO, FOR ME, THAT'S OKAY." Wing continues, "IF YOU AREN'T BOTHERED BY EXERCISING WITH US... ZUSHI IS WAITING FOR US AT THE HOTEL."

Wing stands with a sweat drop, thinking, "IF GON KEEPS HIS PROMISE, I'LL RESUME WITH HIM. I DON'T LIKE ACTING ON MY OWN..." He then calls out, "KILLUA." In a wide panel Wing instructs, "TELL GON THAT EVEN IF HE CAN'T PRACTICE THE SENSATION NEN, HE CAN STILL PRACTICE THE NEN OF INFLAMMATION! TELL HIM TO DO THE TEN OF POINT EVERYDAY!" Distant figures stand on steps while Gon practices with arms raised. Later Gon appears at a doorway with wide eyes as someone shouts, "EH, GON!" A door closes with a "CLAC" sound effect.

Gon sits upright on the edge of the hospital bed, eyes closed in quiet focus, his bandaged head and arm visible as he rests one hand on his knee.
